Absolutely amazing in every way for dosing my cat’s subcutaneous fluids. This scale takes all of the guesswork out of ensuring my cat gets his 100 mLs of fluid, not less and not more. I also love that while it says it measures only 1 kilo, it actually has an allowance for the bag and the administration set without throwing an error. I get 10 perfect doses out of a 1000 mL bag of Lactated Ringer’s solution every time. I am so grateful for this little scale. As others have stated, when the scale is above you with a fluid bad hanging from an IV pole, it really is hard to see the LCD panel. Thank you to the other Amazon reviewers that suggested getting a clip light to better illuminate the scale. That did the trick. If you have a kitty or a dog with chronic kidney disease and give SQ fluids, this will make your life so much easier. Amazon also has an awesome portable IV pole too. This scale, the clip light and the pole together are fantastic. Thank you Amazon and thank you AWS for your awesome scale!

I did a test againsl a Mettler scale. This little thing was within 2g at mid span. Very good for the price. Of course, I always find something to complain about: - When snapped in, it takes a screwdriver to get that little hook out of the back storage groove. - The top handle does not hang well from a hook. It tends to tip sideways, leading to measurement error. - The display is clear on axis, but goes invisible above or below eye level. That's about it. Be aware that the max weight is only 1kg. Don't try weighing your bike with it.

Thank you Rhonda M. for mentioning that shining light on the screen makes it readable at angles! Save yourself the headache and buy an $8 LED book light to clamp on and angle at the screen, which will make your life a lot easier!! This is hung at 6ft and I’m taking a pic from below. Now that I have to give fluids every other day to my elderly cat with kidney disease, this allows me to be more accurate by administering by weight vs. guesstimating the volume. Totally worth it. If you can hang it at eye leve (I can) it is fine to read.

I got a cookbook from Europe that has a lot of good recipes. The only problem is it's telling me to use for example 10 G's of a ingredient (what's a G?). I'm so happy I came across this scale. For now I'm just hanging it from clothing peg on the door and a plastic bag to hold the ingredients. Also it will remove the weight of the plastic bag so what I put in the bag will be the right weight. This scale is inexpensive and comes with batteries and a 10 year warranty. For the price of $17.95 (May 25,2023 price) you can't go wrong. On the picture all you see is the center lit up but I can see the numbers.

I use this scale to help me accurately measure how much SubQ fluid to administer to my senior cat. This is the only scale I've been able to find online that measures accurately down to the gram. My only qualm is that the screen can be hard to read, but for the price, it does what I need it to!

Just like the previous reviewers said, the display is horrible. I need to be able to hang this from an IV pole to monitor the weight of a bag of fluid that is being administered to a cat, but when it is on the pole, the display cannot be read from below. It looks completely blank, just a blue-lit display. I found that if I step way back from the pole, I can make out the numbers well enough to figure it out, but this is not at all ideal since I need to stay with the cat, not walk away constantly to read the scale. Very disappointing. I also noticed that the weight seems to flip back and forth between a couple or three different numbers rather than holding a specific weight. (I am referring to when I weigh the bag before administering the fluids. I expect fluctuations during administration since the weight is gradually changing, but I don't expect them when the weight is constant.) Even so, It appears to be accurate enough to serve the intended purpose. I have not been able to find another hanging scale that will measure in grams, so I am trying to make this one work, but I sure wish the display was better! UPDATE: I discovered that if I point a flashlight at the scale display when it is up on the IV pole, I can see the numbers! I guess the light from the flashlight counteracts the bright blue light of the display.

Bought for delivering fluids to pet. Scale is highly accurate as I verified with scale weights. You CANNOT READ the numbers unless scale is directly at eye level. Have tried different angles, but same result. A little irritated is understatement when I need to administer 100g every 2 weeks. Would be perfect little scale if I didn’t need to step up every 5 seconds to attempt to read.
