They a gentle smell that isn’t bad. I have used them everyday and I do see an improvement in the tear stains on my white dog’s face. I have always cleaned this area of his face with my fingernail, and he didn’t mind. However, he definitely does not like me cleaning with these discs. I don’t know if it is irritating his eyes or maybe it’s making his fur too wet.
