I love the adjustable strap and the slits on the sides to help your feet breath. There is removable padding so that you could use orthotics. The man made material left the tips of my toe nails a little black but was easily removed with soap and water. The only thing I didn't like was the man made material that made my feet sweat more than leather does, however, this would have affected the price of the shoes so I can live with it.The biggest reason I LOVE these shoes so much though is that I have really wide bunions on both feet. I finally decided after 20 years of my bunions getting increasingly wider and my foot pain getting unbeareable that I needed to change my foot wear. My pain and discomfort has gotten so bad that I can't even wear my old heels, wedges, etc... under my desk let alone walk without limping and wincing from the pain. I am in the process of replacing all of my old shoes with the exception of my slippers, flip flops, and some clogs & boots I wear in the winter (for some reason the toe boxes in these are much wider even though they are sized as a M). Anyway, this is the second pair of W width shoes I have purchased with the first being a pair of Clark's "Sugar Dust" shoes I found in Dillard's. I have not yet tried my custom orthotics but I don't think there will be an issue. The toe box accomodates my bunion width AND a toe spacer between my big toes! I even went grocery shopping after work wearing my new Easy Streets and not once experienced any kind of foot pain. Amazing!! I am a hairdresser and am on my feet all day everyday. I usually only can last all day on my feet in sneakers, until I got these. About the closet thing to sneaker you can get (without being a sneaker!) You can wear them with or without socks. I got them in black and wear black socks with mine. I wear them with professional slacks, which cover the top and back of shoe so you cant even see the socks.There are a few things about this shoe that make it AMAZING:Wide toe- These shoes have square toe that give your toes room to wiggle and not squish them into each them in unbearable pain. I usually don't like square toes, as they can look like mens shoes... but these don't look like mens shoes at all. Very feminine.Sole comfort- There is a arch support. It is not super arched, so if your worried that an arch support might hurt you, these particular ones wont. They are squishy and soft and not extremely arched. The sole of these shoes are heavier, which make good work shoes on slippery surfaces. Good traction and a slightly raised heel for natural comfort.Easy on and off- There is a buckle on the back of the shoe that can be adjusted. Once buckled, it is made to stretch. You can slip on your shoes easily on and off. The top of the shoe also has some stretch. It stretches with your foot as you walk. So you don't have to worry about digging into your foot, or preventing you from getting the shoe on.Size- I LOVE that these shoes basically come in any size you can imagine. Weather your foot is narrow, wide, or normal there is a size for you. I got my shoe in a wide (I don't remember which wide option I chose). At time of ordering, they had about four star reviews and many saying they are comfortable. They look fantastic. I ordered the red. It's a darkish red and seems close to what is shown in the picture. I love the style. This style is great for transitional weather when it's too cold for sandals but you don't need boots/winter shoes.Insofar as fit, I think they are true to size length wise. I think width may be slightly narrow. I ordered wide. I have a wide front of foot and narrow heel. It is somewhat hard to find shoes because I need the width in toe area but I need heel secure. This style works well for that, but even though I ordered a wide, they seem snug on the toes. Maybe they will loosen up a bit. They aren't leather, so I doubt they will stretch much. My food isn't super wide and many of my shoes are regular width.I have worn them to work twice and both times I couldn't wait to change my shoes after work. It's three issues: the narrowness in toe box, they just don't feel soft and they make my feet sweat. I am not a foot sweater, but my feet feel clammy when I wear these. I don't wear socks/stockings.Overall, I regret buying these. If I could-a-should-a, I would have worn these around the house for a few hours first. I suggest with any new shoes, people do that so that you can return them if they are comfortable after an hour.I have high standards for comfort. I want support but not a hard inner surface.
