The opening portion of the mold will cure flat. But it’s only a very small portion of the sphere. **Q: how do you put the two sides together without spilling the unset resin?** A: This mold is not two-sided. Just pour the resin in to the top. You might have to file the top down a little bit but I find that a bead cap covers the seam without having to file and polish. I love these molds. They last quite a while. **Q: Is there anyway possible for me to make this into a necklace charm** A: Yes, just make sure you have a pen drill so you can use a screw hoop to connect it to the jump ring for your necklace. **Q: Does this have a hole to string them together** A: No the finished product does not have a hole. You can drill a small hole on either end and glue or resin a small eye pin with a o-ring to string together. Most molds are really hard to get off and can be a stressful experience, but with these its kind of joyous to do. Theres also so many different things you can do to make each one different and unique. I really recommend it to people who might not think of themselves as "creative". Because when i used just clear resin it made this really cool tinny crystal ball thats memorizing to look through. One thing I did run into a few times is several of my marbles ended up with bubbles in them, but it could have been user error, and I actually like the way the bubbles look.
