Is this ribbon suitable for sewing onto a skirt that will be washed?

I haven't tried washing the ribbon, I use it for a craft project, but my first thought is: what color is the ribbon and what color is the skirt? To be safe, try washing some of the ribbon by itself in hot water in a bowl. If the color bleeds, think very hard before sewing it onto the skirt. Color bleeding is the only issue that I can think of that might make it unsuitable for putting on a skirt. It holds up to normal handling well. Now, if you're trying to make a commando skirt that can survive jungle warfare, you may want to consider something else. Best of luck with your skirt.

Is this ribbon fairly lightweight make tieing it in a bow or knot easy?

Yes, it makes great bows and easy knots. Good quality ribbon.

What color is the vanilla exactly cause to me the picture looks pink blush ... ?

VANILLA IS MORE LIKE A PRETTY BLUSH ROSEY COLOR. If you’re looking for off white this is not the color for you
