Perfectly balanced weight, beautifully made all around
Love the weight and balance. The balance feels perfect. Appreciate the beautiful wood handle and the high quality sheath. It was quite a bit bigger than I expected it to be which was a bit disappointing, but the feel and quality of it outweighed the expected size disappointment. I had been hoping to be able to put in cowgirl boots, but it’s way too big for that. It’s too well made to give less than 5 stars even if it doesn’t fit what I had expected it for. Love the attention to detail and the slight gold lines at top and bottom of handle. Love it

Damascus dagger
Beautiful, RAM-DG-40 Damascus double edged dagger, but at a 10" blade, more a short sword. Tight, straight solid. No defects. Solid wood handle. Damascus steel blade, collar and butt cap. Comes well oiled, as typical Damascus steel is combinations of plain carbon steel, not stainless. Wipe the oil off, use it, and after, wipe it down again with gun oil, or any kitchen oil, to keep it from corrosion/rust. Don't store it long term in the leather sheath. Leather has acids that cause corrosion. For an actual fighting dagger, choose a 6" to 7" dagger blade. That's quicker, and won't cut you if you swivel it into another position.

Outstanding dagger especially for the price!
This dagger is quite excellent! The handle is well finished and the pattern on the blade crossguard and pomel are unique and beautiful. Blade came relatively sharp. My one and only issue is that the pommel and crossguard are slightly off center but it's minimal and almost unnoticeable. I included pictures to show this.

Out of the box....... Great Dagger!!!
Knife collector. My first impression is that this is a great knife especially for $50. No significant visible defects. It's REAL Damascus. Grind lines are pretty straight. Edge lines are a little lope sided towards the tip but nothing drastic. It was clearly made and ground by hand..... which it better. The stacked leather handle is 95% smoothe with a little uneven towards the pommel. No complaints though. Nice peen job being ground smooth. No play. Nice and right. Have not used it yet but it seems like it will be a worker. It is a dagger. Not a tree cutter. For stabbing and slicing it will do a great job. The sheath is better than expected. I usually get worse. Don't feel I need to get a new one. Overall........ I recommend. For $50 your odds are 75% good. Can't make any promises. Maybe I got a really good one 1st time out. Worth the risk. It's Amazon. Just return it if you get a bad one lol

Good Knife, Bad Sheath
The knife is as advertised. Nicely made, decent quality, real Damascus, and has a good starter edge on it. Will finish off the edge and see how well it holds it. Overall love the look and feel of the knife. Now the sheath it came with. This thing is garbage. The width is a little too wide for the blade, the snap strap is way too large to secure the knife in, and the entire thing is dry as can be. I currently have the entire thing coated in mink oil to try and get some moisture back into it so it won't start cracking. I am going to have to replace the snap strap before I can wear it on my belt or I run the risk of the knife slipping up and causing issues or cutting me. I don't understand why you would make a decent tool and then package it with such a crappy sheath, it is like you want the end user to hurt themselves.

Very nice dagger
Very nice dagger, arrived faster than expected, beautiful damask, a beautiful blade, very sharp. Leather case of good quality, the only defect, in my opinion, but that is a minimal defect, lies in the engravings of the scabbard, a little off center on mine, the belt loop a little too thin to my taste. But these are only minor problems, I am not disappointed with my purchase, I recommend, beautiful model and economical, the essentials at affordable price. A tip that I will give eventually to the designer of the case, to provide it with a strap for the attachment to the leg, in this way, the dagger would be well maintained and move less at once to the belt. In summary, superb work done on the dagger, a little less on the case, although it is already very good and solid leather. In any case, not disappointed with this dagger, I recommend and I probably resume one in the future. Quality product, 100% conform to the photos

Be prepared for protective oil used excessively.
I love the look of this knife. The quality is quite acceptable for my use, but it did come covered in thick oil (almost like motor oil) which has proven difficult to clean. The wood handle has been affected by the oil and will likely need to be refinished once it's truly clean of the oil.
