Clasps and straps are quite strong a reliable. It has a surprising amount of room and the adjustable back strap really helps when you have only a few things you don’t want moving around. I’ve taken this hiking and in pouring rain and not a drop of moisture made it in. Looks great, especially with other leather items. The detachable shoulder strap is also super handy and comfortable during long excursions.

Pretty cool bag. I used it for Renaissance Fair, and it was great. Feels durable, a little smaller than I thought, but i still like it.

The construction of this pack is outstanding. The canvas is top quality and well waxed- water just beads up and rolls off. The leather is of quality and consistent grain and thickness and the buckles and hardware and zippers are all well made and durable. I've seen reviews remarking on the small size of this pack. I must respectively disagree. On its maiden voyage to the grocery store, I fit four 33.8 oz cartons of coconut water and 1.5 lbs of bacon with room to spare. Unkess you're planning on using this for backpacking, that is anything but small. I'm happy I purchased two, one for my son, right out of the gate. At this price point, you will not find a better quality sling pack.

I like the bag - it’s cute and my wife is using it as a purse - with this in mind, my review is of this item used as a purse…. The canvass seems durable - it has leather accents that are real leather (nice touch). It has a horrible zipper that misaligns easily - the “nice” part about this is that the zipper is easy to fix - I do this (once a week) by running my finger through the back of the zipper , between the tape, slider and teeth (this realigns the teeth)…. I also lube the zipper with zipper wax or chapstick (whatever’s handy…). At some point, I’ll take the bag to a repair shop and swap out the zipper for another. As a carry-all, it works well. My wife carries a lot of stuff around with her (cellphone, keys, unusually thick wallet, chapstick, a hairbrush, a flashlight, ibuprofen…). All this stuff drops to the bottom of her bag but otherwise, this works well as a purse, she can wear it over her shoulder (back) or flip it around to the front if she’s in a crowd - she likes that. It has an external zipper pocket that it too small for a “big” cell phone but holds keys (but is much too small for an unusually thick wallet…). There’s an internal pocket that’s a nice size, and will hold glasses, keys and a cell phone, however these items always seem to find their way to the bottom of the bag… Overall, I like the bag and hate the zipper.

An excellent small single-strap backpack, has held up well over many months of use. Material feels heavy and durable. Construction is tidy. There's just enough organization with a vertical insert and a small hidden pouch. I don't understand the purpose of the folding top buckle (obviously it cinches the backpack down but why this would be needed or beneficial is not clear to me).
