Sengoku Heat Mate Portable Convection Kerosene Heater 23,000 BTU, Beige #HMHC2230

Order came early and I’m so glad cause I live in Mississippi and we are having a sever cold storm staring the 26th. I was afraid of power outages and I’d freeze but Amazon & Fedx made sure I didn’t this Convection Kerosene Heater really puts out the heat I’m so happy….!!

Heater is very nicely made. Their company's technical support was very helpful. I would recommend this heater to my friends. I originally bought this unit for emergency power outage use but am now using it to heat a 750 square foot, uninsulated, 2 and a half car attached garage. I fire it up early and wait long enough (5 minutes) to make another flame hight adjustment, then go back in the house ... you've got to give it some time to heat up that much cold air. A half to 1 hour later it's already helping to take the edge off nicely. I would have given it 5 stars except that, I had to reinstall the wick to get the flame within the proper range of operation.

This heater is great for taking the chill off of cold workshops or garages. Very sturdy and easy to assemble and operation is straight forward. My shop is 40x60' (25' ceilings) and it does take a couple of hours to get the room up to temp. I could remedy this by getting a 2nd heater. Great / safe heater at a good price.

I'm sure the ratings would have been higher but I haven't used the item yet. Easy setup, instructions clear

As others have stated the handle assembly is a bit flimsy but the heater works correctly. I haven't used it much yet so this winter will be the test. Update, I have run approximately 10 gallons per week through this this winter so far. I am very pleased, it has performed flawlessly. It produces a lot of heat with little odor from the kerosene and will run 7-9 hours on a filling (probably because it is not easy to completely fill it to the same level every time). I am still using the original wick that came with it and it will last through this winter without changing. Update #2 The wick gave up at the end of the winter. I have put about 400 gallons through it before the wick became so encrusted with carbon that it could not be adjusted anymore. I think with better attention to detail and better care I could have extended the life of the wick. A new wick and the heater is like new, now to store it for next winter.

I never thought I would get the heat that I get out of this heater! I have a large office with four separate rooms, and this heater heats them ALL! It's unbelievable. So glad I bought it. And the price is right. I got more than my money's worth.

Great heater. Very efficient. Heats up the entire main floor in half an hours and it is about 900 sqft. You need to light it outside or in a garage and wait for about 10 minutes before bringing inside. After 10 minutes there is no smell at all. Make sure you use pure kerosene 1K. It is quite large and heavy.

The automatic lighter did not work. It glowed, but the wick never caught fire. It really pumps out the heat, but also goes though a lot of fuel. All in all it worked as advertised, but plan on spending some $$ on kerosene.

Finding one of these locally was difficult so was glad to find one here. It came in very handy recently when our power was out for over 6 hours and we had a snow storm. But the kerosene fumes are pretty strong. I don't know if it is more than with other burners tho.
