Near Perfect...
Changing your setup from having your notebook setting flat on your desktop to being elevated by this product is AMAZING. I was skeptical about investing $40 in a product for this purpose but compared to other products, the price is not too much more. What I enjoy about this product is the USB hub. The hub can be used separate from the riser if you choose but works perfectly to keep the connections out of sight and out of mind going out the back of the riser.I was apprehensive about the riser covering my mouse pad but with a separate wireless mouse and keyboard combo, I find I don't mind the mouse pad being covered. I have used the slot on the front to hold my phone but mostly now I use if for holding business cards or post-it notes. This riser is very good about allowing your computer to breath and keeping it pretty steady. This unit including the 2 additional feet risers (which are included) with a 15.4 in screen notebook will raise the very bottom of your note screen approx. 9 inches up vs. lying flat on your desktop (your height will vary based on you notebook measurements). At home I often like to switch from using my notebook at my desk, to lying in bed using it, to taking it into different rooms in the house. Taking your notebook out and putting it back in this riser is not difficult and rather easy.I say the unit is 'near perfect' because it didn't lift my screen as much as I would have hoped it could have. I can't count this against the riser but your experience will depend on the initial height of your desk. As I mentioned earlier, to get an estimate, with a standard 15.4 inch notebook computer, the bottom of your screen will be raised just at 9 inches higher than if it were lying flat. Overall, this is a good quality product and worth the price.

Laptop Riser that does the job
In searching laptop riser, the Fellowes model with the USB hub seemed the most sturdy with the best reviews so far. I bought it and am pleasantly surprised that it has all the major components I needed.Advantages of the riser: 1) USB port that glues to the back keeping cords and nano-receivers for wireless equipment hidden; 2) adjustable base come in really handy when dealing with different desk heights; 3) sleek and sturdy designMy only complaints are: 1) laptop is not tied down to the riser so if you're adding an HDMI or USB to the laptop, it tends to move around quite a bit. A tie down system would ensure stability so the laptop wouldn't fall out; 2) trackpad is blocked completely. I have a wireless mouse, but it would be beneficial to have a removal or flexible piece that could be used or removed as needed.Overall the riser is just what I needed and is very functional and sturdier than I expected.

Functional and durable
I originally bought my first Fellowes laptop riser in October of 2015. It has lived through two moves across country and only now needs to be replaced and not due to any failure of the product itself but a careless act. When on a desk it appropriately elevates the screen at an angle that keeps me from looking down constantly at the screen. It allows me to keep almost a perfect ninety degree view angle. Does the screen tilt forward slightly? Yes it does, but that is due to the restrictions on the ASUS 17" laptop with a limit on how far back the screen goes. The rubber spacers are solid when they sit on a desk surface, though they can come loose when the stand is picked up. Nothing to cry about since they just pop back in. The riser does not take as much space as the laptop itself and also allows the fans to breathe easier and suck up less dust. The phone ledge is convenient and gets a decent amount of use. The stand itself saves me room on an already tight desk surface and allows me to utilize the space underneath the stand for ExtHHDs or even a Blu-ray burner. The only issue I had was with the USB rail that needed to be replaced after the second year.I only felt compelled to leave a review after looking for a replacement and happily finding it was still available. I only advise other prospective buyers to not let their laptops be the reason for giving a perfectly functional laptop riser a bad review. I should note, if you haven't already looked at product photo you will need to utilize a wireless keyboard and mouse. While the keyboard is open I typically use it for notes or photos when I am writing.

Works Great!!
Love this desktop holder. Love that I can charge my phone right in front of my laptop and maintain access to it. The rubberized feet help it to stay in place on the marble desktop. Also having the USB in the back and space underneath, hides the many cords that are necessary to plug into my laptop. The USB only has 4 ports but works great and I don't have to spend 10 minutes trying to find places on my laptop to plug everything in. My laptop does not overheat thanks to the design. It does not have a height adjustment but that is ok as it raises my laptop screen to eye level and is perfect for a second monitor. The cubby in the front for other objects (cell phone mostly) makes it difficult to use the keyboard and impossible to use the pad, but perfect for someone like me who uses an ergonomic keyboard and trackball. We have already purchased another one like this for a co worker and anticipate needing more. Thanks
