Beautiful clean lines, easy install, quiet fan and bright lights.
Great investment with a good price-value. The over-range vent fan/lighting I had before was very outdated (and loud) so I opted to replace it with something a little more modern to address the look, and quiet for my sanity. This over the range hood was well within budget and offered the updated look I was going for. It was very easy to install and the dimensions advertised with accurate. While I did not use the bracket system that came with the product, and had somewhat clear directionz, I did utilize the four holes that were pre-fabricated. They are holding the vent up well and due to its light-weight build, I am not worried about it falling or posing as a hazard if I bump into it (for whatever reason) or if there is an earthquake. Construction: As I mentioned, the internal components seem to be of lightweight construction, probably aluminum as it is very light. Be careful when you move it around during installation and cautious not to bang into anything with it, like the corner of a cabinet, table or coutertop because I am sure the thing will dent easily. Perhaps not the most durable in this sense, however, it is not build to be man-handled or even touched much on that note, so with that being said, once it is up, it looks great! Wiring: I hard wired this myself using the conduit that was in place for the previous vent. I am pretty handy with stuff around the house, but very intermediate with the scary stuff such as gas & electrical... regardless, I gloved up, and got to it. Black to black, white to white, ground or bare wire to provided grounding screws. Be advised, while I did not go through the "whole-9" which I 100% advise you to do, including shutting the power to your house then TESTING that it is off using a digital multimeter, I am still alive, breathing, and writing this review with all ten fingers. I have done several electrical jobs around my old house (late 70's) such as socket replacement etc and felt comfortable with this task. The unit did not come with the two halogen bulbs which would have been nice, but they were an easy buy that I made at the local hardware store. I waited for the unit to arrive rather than ordering them off Amazon to ensure they fit property and were the correct specs. These too were easy to install. Overall this was a great buy. Good, clean look, affordable, and easy to install. Specs and dimensions were true, the fan is so quiet I couldn't even tell it was on, and the lights provide great countertop visibility. Would highly recommend for someone looking to update the look of their kitchen.

Affordable, beautiful, 1 person installable nonduct vent
Very bright, looks sharp, runs quietly and it extends out nicely without being a head clunker, which means it'll suck most of the steam from a big pot cooking on the front row. Not all but most. It has options for vented duct off the top and at the rear thru a wall or non-venting. It says One person can install it. I'm a 66yr gal, and I installed it by myself. First, attach the light bulbs (order separately) and wired a power cord (ditto). Remove whatever else you don't need, per instructions. I fought an old solid wood cupboard, couldn't use bolts & nuts cuz it had 2 solid bases for some reason. So, I used a paper bag as a map, drill the hole for the cord and only half drilled (4) 1" screws to the base, in their final spots. Then, lifted up the unit, wormed the power cord up to the base cabinet and then slid the unit onto the 4 screws. And then screwed them up tight. Order, if applicable: 1. Appropriate bolts & nuts. Or screws. It didn't come with it. Does have 2 temp 'sliding' bolts but didn't do me any good. I screwed it on, using the screws as supports before tightening. 2. Light bulbs (Philips 120v GU10 base, 50w 4wLEDs) I got the pack of 3, it came with a suction cup to help screw & twist the bulbs in place, or out, you'll need it!). 3. Power cord plug (open wiring at the other end, standard) if you're connected to an outlet. 4. Pair of non-duct filters (as I'm nonDucting, you do you) Part No 97020466, 2pk. The unit comes with pair of mesh filters. However they are for ducted vents. So, I use both! I slid my slightly smaller non-duct right on top of the unit mesh filters and closed it up. Final thought, check your gap from oven top to vent bottom - recommendation is 26" minimum and no more than 32" I believe? Mine's at 30". Perfect for my large steamy canning pots, light frying, and all around house cooking. Mine's all white, white oven, white cabinets. Love it.

Decent unit fairly priced.
I bought this unit to replace a 45 year old Braun. It still worked fine, but showing its age. Bought the same brand as the original had held up well. It is a nice unit, fans exceptionally quiet, looks good. It is about 6โ deeper than the old unit, not a problem. What I wish were different is the lighting. The old one had a single bulb dead center that lit the whole stove and back wall. This one has two lights 3โ from the front edge. Lights the front of the stove well, but the rest, including the back wall is dark. As others have mentioned, and I concur, installing these lights is not easy. With that in mind, I installed them prior to mounting. Not looking forward to the time when I have to change one. All in all, a good unit reasonably priced.

Good, low price, EZ1 Install was super helpful. Directions are very good for a capable DIYer
EZ1 Install (One Person) was very helpful and works perfectly. The brackets for both the flush or ridged under counter were very good and installed just like the directions detailed. The guy from April 2023 who gave this 1 star is not a capable or competent electrician to make absurd remarks about no power cord. You have to wire it into the current wiring that your old hood or new construction will have in place. If you happen to have a plug outlet then just make a cord or use the old hood cord. They remarked about the vent adapter being loose-It is supposed to be removed it doesn't stay there. At least try to install before you make ridiculous remarks. This range hood is budget friendly and it is nice that it uses led lights which do not get hot.

Overall great design and construction, NO bulbs included.
Overall a well made, clean & simple design. Fan is very quiet on the low setting, and for those smokey dishes the high setting ventilates very well. The stainless steel is of good quality and well constructed. Comes with both round and rectangular outlets for the fan ducting, attachment points for screws are in the right place, and wiring is ready for easy connection; it took me about an hour to install, and although I am a contractor, it shouldn't be too much of a challenge for someone who is mechanically inclined. Only fly in the soup is that it does NOT come with bulbs. I was able to find the right type at my local lighting store and the lighting over the stove top is absolutely fantastic, but you could save yourself some aggravation and buy them here.

It's beautiful.. and an adventure all in one.
Packaging: Awesome packaging. Very sturdy and secured inside with vacuum molded inserts with cushion! Very impressive. I have no idea what anyone is saying otherwise. May be a crazy delivery person. Insructions: They were a bit small, but offered multiple languages which I found very nice. The sheets were separate however making it more convenient. Light Bulbs: Not included which was a downer but the kind of light bulb is described so I could order them or grab them and have a choice in the matter. I don't like bright white lights, so would prefer to choose warm for myself and LED shielded. BTW: Shielded Halogen Bulbs, (120V, 50 W max. MR16 or PAR16 with GU10 base). Installation: Holy frick and frack, it didn't help the builder who put the microwave in, in 2007 really rigged that thing badly and made my install of this a major headache. The brackets and slide to hold to secure were not exactly accommodating however... Now that I reflect on the process, I would have built a jig to hold the device in place and secure it that way. Easy enough really. Performance: No bulbs yet, as I just put it up. The fan is great! Queiter than I thought, and the Air flow is terrific. (I'm using the non horizontal or vertical exhaust function) I got it up, and that did not come out right... Anyway. I like it very much. Maybe it should be 5 stars. I'm beat after that.... I'd buy it again. See my pics. Enjoy!

Insufficient venting and seems to only suction from one side
The suction and venting on this is not nearly as good as I'd hoped based on the reviews. It seems to suck in air only on one side and the section is pretty weak even on the high setting. Installation went well. The light works. But the level of suction leaves a lot to be desired. Even with this range hood on full blast and the kitchen doors closed, cooking smells still fill the house just as much as before.

Love my range hood
Love the quiet the most! Love the bright lights even though wish they had included the bulbs.

Decent product
Works as designed. Great options for venting. Lighter than expected. Did not use brackets for "one person" install. Found instructions bit complicated. Just had second person help feed the power wires through and mark the mounting holes. Once done, rest was easy to complete. Low speed is very quiet. Bulbs not included as stated. Overall look is great. Price is decent for it's CFM rating.
