It hooks on easily and operates smoothly
My kid recently transitioned from the back seat to the front, but we ran into the unexpected problem of brutal early morning sun attacking his delicate eyes. I figured the internet had a solution for me, and I was stoked to find this device. It hooks on easily and operates smoothly. We live in Florida, so he sometimes says that the tint could do more to keep up with our 'hello-climate-change-is-definitely-real-and-we're-on-the-front-lines' rays, but I think the tint is a good balance of protection and visibility. My sun visors are very, very smooth and quite thin, so I'm probably going to pop a bit of no-slip grippy stuff up behind the clip on the back, since it can slide downwards if you're not a little careful when you pull the visor down. I think that in a car that was not quite as small as mine (a Ford Fiesta), or with visors other than the beautiful, cheap plasticky finish of mine, it wouldn't be a problem. The up side is that it should fit visors that are quite a bit thicker than mine, say those in a larger truck. The central location and simple mechanism of the clip is actually quite a boon. It's very easy to adjust its placement on the visor to accommodate the sun's efforts to harass us. I like it a lot and it was definitely worth the purchase. I can actually see the difference it makes when I glance into the passenger seat.

really great product! even better with some duct tape - details below
initially, i was concerned that the visor was not dark enough but upon use, i discovered that it was very effective! really pleased with it and now that i'm driving into the sun when commuting home, it's a total life saver! found probably my ideal way of driving into the sun - cover the top half of this visor with duct tape! this pretty much allows you to see the whole road but blocks out the sky and the sun completely. when you're at a stop light, it will also block out the state of the stop light but then you can just lean toward it slightly to see when the light turns green and then lean back again and get sun protection as you drive off. and you can use a piece of cardboard instead of duct tape to make it less permanent... but with that one adjustment, this is really a perfect gadget to drive during sunset and sunrise when you're aimed into the sun.

Good, but some glare if you don't set it just right
I've been using this driving into both morning and evening suns out in the desert. It does well and is easy to install and operate. Looks good, too -- good field of vision. I like it. However, I wish they'd change the clear plastic to a darker one, because if the sun is just right and you haven't perfectly adjust the visor, the joint acts like a prism or light deflector and shines the sun right into your eyes. After some hasty re-adjusting, I can fix it now, but you don't want to be messing with anything in this brutal full-on east or west direct sun in your face. 4 stars -- it works well. But - 1 because of the clear hinge arguably making a stressful driving situation worse until you can adjust it. To be sure, it should be improved but I am keeping this and would not return it for anything I know of on the market.

Not dark enough to block the sun or headlights at night
I brought is product for my wife and I, but the tint on this visor is not enough for the my taste. The sun still comes thru bright enough that I had to stop using it and just let down my regular visor. My wife being 5'4" can't use the visor because her car seat will not raise up high enough to get the benefits or even tell if the visor works. I may have to buy my own strip of tint to fix the problem.

Sturdy but hazy
This item is, as the 3 stars denote, ok. It seems just slightly better that nothing when driving east into the early morning sun. The rest of the time, it just makes everything sort of hazy (yes, the packing films have been removed). Ironically (to me), is that as soon as I drive into a shaded area, the haze disappears and the view is clear. Mine arrived with a scratch. I could have returned it for a replacement; however, the scratch is not within my range of vision. I did not lower my star rating because of it. If nothing else, I think this would work to help eliminate the bright Florida sun on the riders window so I'm keeping it. It does fit my visor (CMax Energi--renown for its minuscule visors) well and securely. It seems sturdy and is highly adjustable. I chose this particular brand as it had the best reviews. I really can't imaging what the others are like.

Visor Extender Success
I am 5โ3โ and the winter afternoon sun would hit my eye line from the side window with my Honda visor down. I purchased a visor extender from an auto supply store but it was not stable and there was a gap between the attachment part for the visor and the extension piece right at my sight line which made it useless to shield the sun. This product is exactly what I had pictured in my head. It attaches to the visor in a second and you can flip the sun shade piece with no gap and is perfect for sun coming in the side window for the driver and I used it on a trip recently on the passenger side. I havenโt used it from the front position but Iโm sure vision through the visor extension while driving would be fine that was just not my need when driving this particular route 3 times a week. I highly recommend this product!

Great product!
I bought this to combat the early morning sun during the commute to work. I took the advise of one of the other reviewers and clipped it to the front of my visor which then acted like a visor extension. Worked perfectly! I could see the road very clearly and not blinded. I could adjust it by moving the car visor or the clipped visor so there was maximum coverage. I still needed to put my sun glasses on for the worst glare, but I think that's to be expected. I left the visor down for the entire commute (2.5 hours) and it made the trip a much safer and pleasant one.

I never knew what a difference contrast makes in vision.
I'm 5'2" and this visor does help with sun, but it takes away all the contrast and color variation. That means depth perception is off and sometimes the ability to tell where one object ends and another begins. It helps, but I'm always having to move it a little to get a better view. Frustrating! I still use it, but I would buy a different one except from the reviews they all seem to have similar problems.
