Prime-Line U 9585 Stainless Steel Lock and Door Reinforcement Plate

My tenants broke almost all of my doors in my house (near the door handle) and these saved the day, I was able to cover up the wood around the knobs without having to spend hundreds on new doors. They are well made. Check your door measurement (thickness) first. We are happy with this product and outcome. Unfortunately I don’t have any close up pics with the plates on, but they were long enough to cover the extensive damage. Also, we ended up changing the knobs to match the stainless steel plates. Would definitely get these again if needed.

Landlord was too lazy to fix my door so I had to improvise. This plate helped make a busted hollow door functional again (along with some sturdy white duct tape and a new door knob) 1000% recommended. Yeah the plate came with scratches but so is it the door so it's fine.

These work really well.

I used this to cover the extensive damage (100 screw holes, previous door knob modifications) in a well-used 90 year-old front door. Even after I fitted and glued a wood fill-piece into the mortise, the remaining surface left nothing for the new lever-handle entry lockset to rest upon. This reinforcer provides that surface and adds a bit of structural strength. It also makes the door look acceptable till I refinish it next summer. An oiled bronze finish would be the only thing that would make it better.

The exterior faces have a nice plastic wrap to protect it from scuffs while in the package. It was a very quick install and immediately made the door feel more secure.

These things are life-savers! I bought one a while age for my splintered veranda door, and I just bought this one for my splintered bathroom door. It seems as though someone had tried to force open the door and splintered the door’s wood around the knob. It wasn’t fully broken, but there was the odd splinter sticking out which caused scratches on my arms and snagged clothing. This was the case for both my veranda door and my bathroom door. I wish I knew the story. Anyway, product covered the splinters and saved my clothes. It fits well and stays put once installed. Don’t forget to remove the plastic coating on the product before installing it on your door. I am very satisfied with this product.

Perfect fit for old damaged pine door. Made the repair even more solid and secure than the original door.
