My son absolutely loves this car. He pulls it around everywhere. The magnet is strong and holds onto the care nicely. They are a great size, perfect for his little hands. No paint chipping or scuffs.

If you have a child that is not ready for an electronic train set, Brio wooden trains are perfect for imaginative play! The quality is always exceptional. I have enough track, trains and Brio accessories that my grandchildren can explore engineering their own train layouts. Save the electronic train engineering for Science Museums that have the space to go wild and take your child there for observation!

My kid has now played with this for two years. It fits the other Brio world tracks and cars, and it's pretty indestructible.

My 2 year old has developed a real love for tow trucks and since he already has a huge Brio collection, I decided to go with this one. Like all of Brio's trains and accessories this tow truck and car are excellent quality, perfect for rough toddlers who don't yet know not to throw expensive toys. The tow truck has a few moving mechanisms that really make it a stand out toy. The hood can be lowered to reveal the engine inside and the tow bed can easily be raised or lowered (raised lifts the car's front wheel axle while lowered keeps all 4 tires flat). There is a full sized magnet on the back of the tow truck to tow the included car or any trains you may have. However, there is a small, almost worthless magnet on the front of the tow truck as well, and this is the reason I've removed a star from my review. My toddler accidentally discovered the front magnet and now continously attempts to have his trains pull the tow truck. The problem is any time he pulls his trains up hill, the tow truck falls backwards, along with any trains connected to the rear of the tow truck. It's not a deal breaker by any means, but it is slightly annoying considering they could easily fix this. Nonetheless, I'm kind of used to this disappointing feature as Brio does not put a magnet on the front of any of their engines (in comparison, every Thomas brand train includes a front and rear magnet). This is a definite buy for any kid who loves tow trucks, trains, or both as my little one does.

I bought this for my 2 year old son and it is a huge hit. The tow truck has two moving parts -- The lift in the back goes down so that the car is level with the truck or in the position in the photo the car is raised up. So if you wanted to use it on a Brio train track you could put it in the down position and it would fit right in with the other cars (there is also a magnet on the front of the tow truck so it can get pulled by another vehicle. The front cab of the tow truck also hinges up to reveal the engine inside. My son loves playing with these and it is a nice bonus that it works with the Brio train sets. I would not hesitate to buy this as a stand-alone toy for truck-enthused kids even if you don't have a train set.

Our 2-year old grandson really enjoys the Brio tow truck and car because they fit his little hands well and the magnet makes for zero frustration when he wants to connect them. The magnet is strong enough to withstand multiple twists and turns but isn't so powerful as to be hard to disconnect. The hood comes up on the truck which adds interest. Great quality. The tow truck also can pull the little car flat on the floor surface or you can pull a small lever and it lifts the front off the ground. Our grandson can do all the manipulations without any frustration.

A lovey little addition to our sons ever growing brio collection. A nice little touch is that the drivers cab pulls off to reveal a little engine below and the towing arm has a joint so can be moved too

This car also works with the one that goes on a train. Magnets are good and strong. The hood opens up too. Really nice.
