The nice thing is there are a lot of features about different whiskey distilleries and lots of info about each different featured whiskey. There are whiskies in all different price ranges, so you certainly do not have to be rich to read the book and explore, but I'm sure my husband took mental notes of a few extremely high end whiskies he would like to try. It's hard not to. This is a really great guide for someone who wants to explore different styles of whiskey from all over the world. It's also a great coffee table book. If company comes over it's a good book for all the pictures and people like reading random blurbs of different whiskies. I think this book could even inspire someone who is curious about whiskey, but has NO CLUE where to start or someone who wants to start off with a good experience. Before this book I never had tried a single malt scotch, but now Pandora's box is opened. I have yet to find a whisky from the book that I didn't love. Really opened my world to whisky and I find myself having one dram a night.
