Makes good coffee but the pot has certain annoyances
This coffee maker produces a good cup of coffee, but there are some problems with it that are very annoying to me.PRO:- Makes a good cup of coffee- The nearly flat cover allows me to place dinner plates on top to preheat them. However, the cover is somewhat slippery and allows the possibility for the plates to slide off and fall onto the counter.- The spout which feeds water from the reservoir is cleverly designed so that merely closing the cover pushes the spout into position over the coffee.- The spout design also will not let any coffee spill while pouring a cup.CON:- The water measure is difficult to read. It is located near the rear right side so if you place the pot in a corner of the counter you must move the pot to measure the water. Plus the display is frosted glass contributing to the difficulty of reading it.- The cover of the pot does not come off. That makes it difficult to pour water in the reservoir without spilling water on the basket holder. If you place it on your counter under a cabinet the non-removable top requires you to slide the pot out from under the cabinet to fill.- The coffee basket has a nozzle which prevents it from lying flat on your counter. This makes it awkward to fill with coffee unless you lay the nozzle over the edge of the counter and take care not to bump it or else coffee will spill out. Or you can place the coffee basket in the pot and fill it there, taking care not to spill coffee into the water reservoir.- The carafe cover is also not detachable making it difficult to wash.- The coffee will not be "good to the last drop" because there is a lip inside the carafe which prevents you from pouring out the final drops of coffee. In my kitchen the only location I have for the pot is in a corner of the counter, under the overhanging cabinet, so I am constantly sliding the pot in and out to use it. The coffeemaker measures 13 ½” high. My cabinet overhang is 17 ¼” above the counter. Not enough room to open the lid to pour water into the reservoir. There are two coffee strength settings “Regular” and “Bold.” They would be better named “Wimpy” and “Acceptable.” But they both do work and make noticeably different strengths of coffee. Conclusion:I wanted a coffee maker with a flat top (for preheating plates) and decent reviews. This pot met those requirements. In time I will either learn to live with the annoyances listed above, or throw the thing out and buy a different coffee maker. You decide if the annoyances are relevant to you. If not, then I recommend this coffeemaker.I gave it a three star rating because it does make acceptable coffee but, for me at least, has major annoyances.

Makes Good Hot Coffee, Carafe Not Easy To Clean
It keeps the coffee really good & hot for a good long time. We have found a preference for the bold setting. I wanted a coffee maker that did not have the control buttons on the bottom as my husband will often try to get coffee before a pot is finished. Even though most coffee makers are supposed to have a pause feature they end up dripping everywhere which shorted out some of the control buttons on my old coffee maker. That made the delay feature useless on my old maker. My only dislike on this maker is the actual carafe. It has a non removable lid with an extra piece inside the carafe lid that makes it difficult to clean and to place in your rack for drying. I'm sure it is designed that way to help with pouring spills. But neither myself or the husband notice it helping at all. Overall, this coffee maker does have a nice sleek look.

Good Coffee But Is It Worth The Wait
This puts out good tasting coffee but it takes 45 minutes to make the full pot and it has taken this length of time to make coffee since the day it arrived. I have tolerated this because I spent hundreds of dollars on coffee makers in 2018, as they obviously are making them designed to break, and I am talking about cheap coffee makers on up to the $150 coffee makers. May as well stick to buying the cheap ones because none of them will last.I turn this coffee maker on and then fix up a four cup coffee maker and turn that on, so that within minutes I will have a cup of coffee from the four cup coffee maker, while I wait the 45 minutes out to get a full pot of coffee from this coffee maker.I have had this coffee maker since June of 2019. It is the longest lasting coffee maker I have had in several years and I do not consider seven months to be a long time. I am always prepared with an extra coffee maker on hand. I think it is pretty bad that we have to clutter up our homes with extra coffee makers because they do not make them to last, as they did used to last for years, once upon a time.Actually, I am kind of hoping this coffee maker will do like the ever so many coffee makers I have purchased, as in to hurry up and break already. I am tired of the 45 minute wait for the coffee to be made.

... but first coffee
The carafe and filter basket a clean up easily. This is the same coffee maker that Marriott uses in their vacation properties- or at least the ones we have visited. The main reason for this purchase was to have coffee ready when we get up for work. Both my wife and get up early and their was always an issue with which one of use would make coffee. We had used a French press before and and it never yielded enough brewed coffee for the both of us. The program able timer function works as expected.I have used the 3 different brew modes- regular, 1-4 cups and bold. The machine performed very well producing a full bodied cup of Joe. The warmer plate under the carafe keeps your coffee hot without scorching or burning. It seems to shut off after 2 hours. The unit delivers consistent perform regardless of whether I’m making 4 cups or 12 cups. I highly recommend this unit for anyone looking for economical, programable drip coffee maker.

Basic Easy To Use Coffeemaker
Received this coffee maker in perfect condition and ahead of the scheduled delivery date. It is easy to use and the stainless look at the front makes it look more expensive than it is. Although my husband and I don't drink coffee, our visitors say the coffee tastes great. If I had one complaint, it would be that the black plastic on the top and sides has swirled imperfections which makes it look like it needs to be wiped clean, but it is embedded in the plastic. One suggestion when cleaning the coffeemaker for the first time is to do it more than the suggested 3 rinses. There were quite a few black/brownish pieces of unknown material floating around in the coffee pot even after 3 rinses. It took 5 rinses including the vinegar rinse to finally get the hot water perfectly clear.

Nice coffee maker
It's a nice basic coffee maker with the handy programmable timer. The coffee comes out nice and hot and the carafe seems to have a slightly bigger amount per cup than other coffee makers we've had. The only thing I don't like is having to be careful when pouring water in - it's such a small hole at the back that it wouldn't take much to pour it into the filter area if you're not careful. Overall it's been a great machine that makes good coffee!

Good basic coffee maker
nice features, easy to use and program. carafe has a drip guard which is a nice feature but makes it difficult to empty into the back to brew. always have a bit left over - not a huge deal but annoying.
