YEAXLUD Womens Renaissance Medieval Costume Dress Lace up Irish Over Long Dresses Cosplay Retro Gown

I purchased this beautiful green and cream/gold dress for my 12 year old daughter to wear at my renaissance themed wedding. The color is stunning and the pictures don't do it justice. I got her a small but I am going to reorder her this in a medium as the small is a bit tight and makes her look slightly pregnant when she's not. She currently weights 113 lbs and is 5'1" tall. The dress has a great flow. No need for a petticoat or a slip. It does seem to cling to her body but again I believe I should have went up a size. I didn't notice any unusual smells. The only thing I didn't like about the dress was the laces which were more like extremely long and very thin shoe laces. The cream colored one was on the back of the dress which stood out like a sore thumb. The black one was on the front of the dress which didn't look as awful. I plan of purchasing a thin ribbon to relace the new dress with as I feel that would look better. Other than that my only other complaint with be the placement of the tag. It is sewn upwards in between the seem at the back of the neckline and forces it to stick straight up. There's no real way of hiding it and would be difficult to remove if you're not a seemtress which I am not. Sure you can just cut it out but it's going to be noticeable. These complaints are minor inconveniences which is why I'm still giving the dress a 5 star rating.

Just received my Renaissance Dress. I love it. The fabric is on the thicker side so it drapes well. There was such disparity on the sizing reviews that I ordered a small and a medium. I am 5’9” and 118 pounds. The small was perfect through the bodice. It also has lace up ties in the front and back to help conform to your body shape. The length came down to the top of my feet. I will wear flat boots with this. The sleeves are very long and cover my hands. I will probably have to use a hair tie and scrunch them up. But overall I am pleased with this purchase. I followed advice from other reviews and ordered 2/3 sizes larger than I normally would have. I am 5'9", 195 lbs, and I normally wear a Large, sometimes XL (size 12 pants, size 36DDD bra). I ordered the XXX-Large, going up an extra size for length. I definitely could have ordered the XX-Large, probably the XL and it would have easily fit, but I'm glad I have the extra length. I would definitely go at least one size up, and at least 2 sizes up if you are taller.I also figured it was ok to err on the larger side since there is lacing on the front and back, so I could make it tighter if need be. Well, the lacing is in such a weird position it won't really work. Also, instead of the 6 loops on each side, as pictured, there are 2 loops on each side. The bottom of the front laces goes to mid-boob. The lacing in back is right around my shoulder blades. I tried to pull the dress down so these would be closer to where they should be (my waist???) but it wouldn't stay. I then tried to make it look not totally weird, but it just does. I've decided to remove the loops for the lacing and move them to where they should be. This will be easy for me, but I know not everyone will have that options - so larger sizes beware.Additionally, I've decided to find something with which to replace the lacing itself. It comes with a black cord, similar to the shoelace on a men's dress shoe. It's fine, and the visual effect is there, but I just think for a couple of dollars it can look a whole lot better. I'll try to remember to add pictures once I've made the changes.Length-wise, it hits right at the top of my foot - honestly, it couldn't be more perfect. It's just long enough without dragging on the ground - which normally wouldn't bother me, but I'm wearing it to a Renaissance Festival and don't want to be tripping over it or intentionally getting it all muddy.Overall, the quality is what I expected for what I paid. The material is nice and thick which will be nice since we are going to a Ren Fest in the fall and it might be pretty chilly.

Beautiful dress. I like that you can adjust the size both in the front and the back. They said it ran small so instead of ordering a medium I ordered a large. I’m returning it to get the medium cause I really like the dress.

Ordered XXL for my 5’3” 12 year old daughter because bigger would be better than smaller and to my surprise it fit her perfectly. She normally wears a women’s Large. The dress material is a nice velour compared to other dresses I’ve seen and has a lot of stretch to it. If she grows another size up it would still fit but be tighter and shorter. The worst part is that one of the lines in the front was sewn crooked so the dress looks crooked on her. The dress goes to the ground but could be a little longer by an inch or two of you wanted to wear a heel. The sleeves do not go all the way to the ground like in the picture either , they stop at about the knees. The lines on the front of the dress are not shiny like in the picture, they are a dull yellow and the strings to tie the front and back look like heavy dull colored shoestrings. This dress has so much potential. It could be so much better if the manufacturer made some simple changes. Despite it being crooked we are keeping it because we are out of time for a costume change and because she’s 12 and doesn’t mind.

It looks so rich and feels wonderful. It does run small, though. I'm a size medium and ordered an XL just to be on the safe side. I'm glad I did because it just fits.

This Queen medieval dress is absolutely beautiful and looks very elegant. The design, fabric, and details are all great, and it truly gives a regal, medieval feel. The quality exceeded my expectations and it’s perfect for themed events or costume occasions. The only downside is that the fit is a little baggy, especially if you’re looking for a more fitted silhouette. Aside from that, it’s a stunning dress and a great choice overall.

It was a very little bit too small and wouldn't tolerate constant wear but it's a costume, only likely to be worn once a year or less.
