Review: Post op back surgery bathroom assistive device - The restrictions on a post-operative spinal fusion patient require no BLT (no bending lifting or twisting.) Great, but how are you supposed to wipe your butt? With this magic toilet wand. It does work. It’s not perfect but any help is better than none. I have purchased 4 different bathroom buddy devices including the “tongs”, the “stuff toilet paper in the crevice of the device, do the procedure then press the button to release the TP into the bowl” - type device. This is probably the best product of the ones I have tried. Somebody put a lot of thought into the design and manufacture. It has the little green plastic grabbers that open and close on command with a switch on the handle end of the wand that’s easy to use. The business end of the wand is non-scary and nobody is getting their giblets pinched or scratched with this device. For a complete clean up, I recommend this Magic Wand in conjunction with the Frida perfectly angled squirt bottle (look in postpartum hygiene section for that) to serve as a rinse factor whereas this magic wand has the pat dry factor you need. I am glad I purchased this wand for “my friend” after her spinal fusion surgery.
Review: Sturdy - This is the best creation ever.After multiple back surgeries, rods, screw, plate up and down , neck, and spine and shoulder, it became almost impossible to twist or turn at all. You absolutely cannot reach around to take care of yourself in the restroom. This grips toilet paper so tight and has definitely changed my life. No more forcing your fusioned back to try and turn, ripping scar tissue. It holds folded up tissue and has a long curved handle . You fold paper over into a fairly thick square grip it in the middle and twist a small handle in it and grab it with the gripper. You just slide the button forward while on the toilet and it drops the paper . It doesn’t touch you and it stays clean. You of course could wipe it down but it doesn’t actually need it Pulls back apart and toss it in the bag with draw strings. It would fit into a larger type purse too! 5 stars out of 5 stars!

The restrictions on a post-operative spinal fusion patient require no BLT (no bending lifting or twisting.) Great, but how are you supposed to wipe your butt? With this magic toilet wand. It does work. It’s not perfect but any help is better than none. I have purchased 4 different bathroom buddy devices including the “tongs”, the “stuff toilet paper in the crevice of the device, do the procedure then press the button to release the TP into the bowl” - type device. This is probably the best product of the ones I have tried. Somebody put a lot of thought into the design and manufacture. ### ⭐ ONE BIG FLAW: FLIMSY

I loved the idea of how this design is supposed to work, but (as other reviewers have also stated) it is quite flimsy. I purchased one of the extender links offered w/it (paid total of 63.70 w/tax; expensive!), and when you try to use this aid, it "moans and groans" at all the places where a link joins to another one, and the whole thing then tends to bend/sway a little. Doesn't seem as if it could possibly last through very many uses! Also, after you've finished w/toilet paper, if you want to cleanse w/one of the commercial "flushable moist wipes" (and don't we all??), b/c of the moisture, it slips right out of the grabber! If it just worked as intended, it would be my favorite of all the toilet-wiper aids I've ever tried. And I've tried several... my favorite thus far being the "Juvo Toilet Aid - Personal Bottom Wiping Tool," that I bought here on Amazon. But even it has a very-aggravating flaw: the 'spring' inside (which makes the grabber end open and close) stops working between a few days and a few months. Never had ANY wiper aid to last even a year. Why can't someone make a QUALITY toilet wiper?!! Seems that would not be a hard task in this day and age!
