Musiclily HSS 11 Hole Guitar Strat Pickguard for Fender USA/Mexican Made Standard Stratocaster Modern Style,3Ply Parchment

I got the orange tiger/tortoiseshell variant and I have to say it looks very nice. I was a little worried it might just be a print, but it is 'real' (synthetic) shimmering tortoiseshell that catches the light nicely and has a nice 3D effect. It's well shielded, a little too well as some of the holes needed cutting with a knife (some were scored and just needed pushing through, others needed cutting a little). I had to add an extra hole for a custom switch and drilling the material was effortless and clean. However, this does not fit off-brand guitars very well. Not necessarily the fault of the pickguard. I'm sure it fits fine on genuine Fender strats, but if you have another brand, maybe check the dimensions first to be sure this will fit. Drilling extra holes was fairly straight forward, although I couldn't get it in a position where there wasn't at least one hole with half of the corresponding hole showing through. This was fixed with a matchstick in the old hole, and it is pretty secure now. The biggest issue was that this took a LOT of filing around the neck and bridge. I must have removed 4 or 5mm from each, and unfortunately lost one of the rounded corners, which is now a right angle. None of this is really the fault of the pickguard, but definitely something anyone with a Donner or other non-Fender brands should keep in mind. It does look damn spiffy though, so I think it was worth the extra effort.

Excellently packaged pickguard with protective plastic cover. Fits like a charm as expected. Easy to install with included screws and looks great on my Partscaster.

I had hoped to cut a second humbucker cut out (by extending the neck single coil cut out) and use this pick guard to replace the black guard on a Fender HSH Player Strat. Unfortunately the pickup spacing on the Player is a little different with the bridge humbucker nearer the neck. The cut outs for the Fender open humbuckers also have quite pronounced rounded corner to match the bobbins, The humbucker cut out in this guard has very square corners to match a humbucker with a cover. Musiclilly supply their guards with a bag of pickup screws and guitar pick.

Fits my MIM Strat perfect, Humbucker pickup hole is about 1/4 inch closer to the bridge than the factory version. Something to look out for if you don’t have a large route cavity. Screw holes line up perfect and the quality is incredibly good at the price

The firing need a little readjusting. So many scratches on top. Think first seeing is a plastic cover but not. Coming damage with scratches. But works good without the scratches damage this is a good product.
