They are are made to last the full length time for the sensor/transmitter and are very sticky. I would recommend pulling the patch all the way around the edges before moving into the center and trying to keep a finger pressed on the sensor as you pull the rest of the patch. When it's time to change sensors, I try and remove the patch and then the sensor but I have had the feeling that the sensor would be pulled out if i were to just rip the patch off too quickly. Not that it would matter since it's time to change the sensor. **Q: I was wondering if there is adhesive in the middle. I see one of your products do not. Does this one?** A: Hi, yes, this Fixic Freestyle Libre Adhesive Patch with adhesive in the middle. **Q: Can this be used like a Tegaderm patch?** A: Tegaderm is usually transparent. These are pink. They are also latex and cloth. Tegaderm is silicon based and have breathable perforations. Tegaderm is made for wounds. These are pretty much just patches so you don't knock the machine off your arm accidentally. There comes a downside to that as well. If there is any stretching of the skin, it can lead to ichiness and even slight tearing. That issue hasn't been a big concern. I would say that the durability, color (close to matching skin color), and adhesive qualities rank these as the better of all the patches that I have used. I need my Guardian 4 sensor to stay put for a week, and even the Medtronic patches sent do not keep them secure. Additionally, I appreciate the size as they are large enough to cover the sensor and provide enough material to maintain adhesion around the edges without being too large.
