Review: Perhaps the best in this segment. - I think it is arguably the best in this price segment. I sound a lot better that it's competitors. Although it doesn't have any fancy lights and feature like NFC and mobile app equalizer, but it does sound great and with 24hr battery it is the best in my opinion. But when compared to Sony or Bose and Beats capsule also, these come above 8 thousand and I don't think they offer double or triple features or quality than this. And the last but not the least the after sales service of Anker is bestest in the world, they have excelled in powerbanks, adapters, speakers, cables. Although this speaker is not their best offering but it is basically much more basic speaker whith all the features and sound quality and durability that you need in it, and last to mention that the size is very compact and weight is also on the lighter side. Review: Ankering speaker - Bought it two monthes back. Bit on the heavier side but feels sturdy while holding in hand. Have a nice matte finish look and the solid rubber material keeps it safe from any sudden impact. Went on to a trip with it. On the way it got wet while being inside of a bag due to heavy rain, but played absolutely fine after that. Sound range is huge, quality is also good. Can easily outperform any small audio speaker. Most importantly the battery juice just keep going and going. One only need to charge this once in 45 days to keep the battery in good condition if not in regular use.

**Q: How is this better than the previous version?**
A: I haven't noticed this being any louder then the previous. The bass is a little better and ports are covered. I think for $33.99 when on sale it's a good deal at only $4 more then the original but at $40 Not so much. The original is $29.99.

**Q: How many watts is this? Does higher watts equal louder volume?**
A: The new SoundCore 2 has double the watts (2 x 6w instead of 2 x 3w).   But...in order to double the volume you'd need to have 10 times the watts.  So you'd need a pair of 30W speakers to double the volume.

It was instantly clear to my wife (not an audiophile, nor am I) that the SoundCore 2 sounded better.   It's just not "night and day" better, nor is it "double the volume" better.   Is it $10 worth better?   Yes...not just for the better sound, but it's been refined to be a better over all experience which I talked about in my review.

**Q: Can you use a cord to plug in directly to phone**
A: Yes, using either a male to male 3.5 mm aux cable OR a usb-c to male 3.5 mm aux cable, whichever your phone supports.  Note that there may be a noticeable lag, meaning it won't be appropriate for watching videos or playing games.  That was my experience, perhaps not all speakers have this issue.  This was on the most recent firmware (4/19/19)

**Q: Does this have a good sound quality**
A: Great sound quality. I am very impressed with it's performance.

I think it is arguably the best in this price segment. I sound a lot better that it's competitors. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Incredible sound quality for the price

For the price, the sound quality is incredible. It could have been a bit louder, but that might be expecting too much from speakers in this price range. However, it is definitely a step above other brands and speakers in this price range and can fill a decent mid sized room with some great sound. I'm definitely picking up a few as gifts for friends.
