These are the gates I prefer when I need to confine my dog to a certain room or space, and they were my favorite when my now-teenaged kids were toddlers, to restrict their access to stairs, sequester them in a play area, etc…we even use them to keep our dog away from the pool pump area so that some backyard spaces are free and clear from …the evidence (of dogs in the vicinity)…that no one wants to accidentally step in. They are surprisingly sturdy and user-friendly once you get the hang of them. It’s really cool how adjustable they are, providing a wide range of options from narrow to extra wide in the same unit. In fact, I don’t know of any other pet gate or baby gate (that is not freestanding, meaning it is adjusts to fixed sturdily to both sides of an opening) that open as wide as these. They’re pretty durable as long as they’re used correctly, but eventually, of course, they show signs of wear. Again used correctly they can last years. They’re not upscale or fancy, but they’re not hideous or cheap looking either. They are more aesthetically pleasing, for example, than a plastic white gate, and they also do not show dirt or dust now that I think about it. What stands at the most though is how simple and functional they are. They simply do the job and they do it well. They’re versatile, and come in various widths and height, including extra tall and extra wide, but again very adjustable as well, so they can be used in a doorway or in much wider space to divide rooms or limit access: And they’re so easy to take up and down. They’re very mobile. They can be erected and removed in seconds, and there’s never any damage to the walls or stairs or banisters or wherever you mount them. I’ve used them for years and have no need for any other type of gate. These are the best ones for the kind you can take up and down in a flash.

This is not like the traditional gates and feels cheap but it is strong and does the job. It was hard to put up and take down so it will do its job. I will buy another soon

The gate adjusts using a wooden lever mechanism. While it works well, it is not the easiest system to adjust on the fly. You need to spend a little time positioning the gate correctly and then locking it in place. The locking mechanism is quite tight, which can make locking and unlocking slightly difficult at first. However, I actually see this as a positive safety feature because it makes it much harder for a child to figure out how to open it. With regular use, I expect the mechanism to loosen up slightly and become easier to operate. Installation is straightforward. The package includes both wall hooks and double-sided adhesive tape, allowing you to mount the system without drilling if desired. Once the hooks are installed, attaching and removing the gate is quick and convenient. We purchased two different sizes and use them in both our living room and kitchen entrance to create safe play areas for our babies when needed. They have worked well for that purpose. The only limitation is that this is not a heavy-duty gate. If you have a larger, stronger toddler who likes to push, climb, or lean heavily on gates, this may not be the best choice. In that case, a sturdier metal gate would be a better investment. Overall, this is a practical, budget-friendly baby gate that works well for infants, younger toddlers, and pets. If your priority is portability, space-saving design, and affordability, this is a great option.

Exactly as described. True to dimensions mentioned in the description. Sturdy and simple to install or uninstall. One point I want to address in regard to some of the negative reviews. The plastic bag that is stapled into the product that holds the additional hardware was not hard to completely remove. With a little care and a moments patience I was able to fully remove all traces of plastic from the gate. I am not sure why other's had such a hard time of it, but since those reviews initially gave me pause before purchasing this product I felt compelled to debunk them here.

We like the width and the color. We also like the fact that it doesn’t need to be attached to the wall. The rubber stoppers don’t leave marks. It is relatively lightweight. It works with tension to stay in place. However, the mechanism for expanding and securing it in place is a bit tricky to use. Not as easy to open as we hoped. Overall, it suffices to provide a safe barrier for a classroom.

My mini poodle (Pippa) has figured out how to remove the doggie door cover, so I ordered this gate for added protection. Easy to install and looks good in the laundry room door to back porch.

Muy buen producto, busque varias opciones e incluso fui a tiendas y no encontré nada con las medidas que yo quería, esta a buen precio y me parece mejor la malla cuadriculada que los barrotes, muy ligera y fácil de instalar
