Is this a P trap in the traditional purpose of holding water to stop the sewer gas from entering the home like traditional P Traps?

I don’t see how the odor could be trapped when the water level would only be level to the exit tube once you shut off the water? Even while it’s running it would only be half way up the tube unless you had a lot of water flow? Unless there is some high tech inner parts inside they’re chamber?

is it premium brass material and not alloy or abs plastic? is it the brass metal anti-corrosion & long durability?

I can't speak on the brass version of this product, but we did purchase the matte black version. Not sure what type of material it is, but it is a metal (not plastic) and very durable. It is a high quality product based on looks and feel.

Is it made of heavy duty solid premium brass? is the extension tube, brass nut & brass flange all metal brass construction??

This bottle p trap body is brass, brass nut, extension tube and wall flange are sus304 stainless steel. All metal construction.
