Review: Best Work Boots I've Ever Owned - I've always bought Timberland....NEVER AGAIN! I'm very hard on boots and they get exposed to harsh chemicals daily. The chemicals usually eat at the glue that holds soles on boots...like Timberlands. The sole is sewn on these boots. They are very expensive but I previously went through two pairs of timberlands a year. I'm on year 2 with ONE pair of these boots and they show no signs of fallen apart. The one thing that has happened is the inner liner has seem to pull away from the boot. Even that has not ripped though...like I said these get ABUSED and often come off soaking wet. Once a year I treat them with bees wax and that's it. Best pair of work boots I've ever owned. Buy the AMERICAN made ones! Review: Beautiful boots made in the USA - My 3rd pair of Chippewa boots and absolutely no disappointments here. Well made (in the USA ๐บ๐ธ of course) and fit perfectly. We just need some cold weather!

toe box too small, boot not as pictured
Nice boots, felt very warm once I put them on, however, I am returning them. I wear a 9.5M sneaker and a 9M dress shoe, I ordered a 9E, fit was a little tight, but the reviews about this boot being too narrow are 100% true. Toe box was too tight and after prolonged use would have crushed my toes, also the yellow Chippewa logo was not on the side of the boots as pictured. One boot sole was scuffed up when I received, could have lived with that if was a perfect fit.

Not waterproof as promised. Not comfortable.
Even though I didn't return these boots because of comfort, I wouldn't buy them again because of that. And am actually relieved that I had another reason to return them. Twice with these boots I was outside all day on a rainy day. On both those occasions the right boot remained dry inside, yet the left one wet through. But, in the long run, the comfort was a huge problem as well. Why do none of the makers of good boots have a flat insole any longer? Used to be, I could buy any old boot, and they would be comfortable. Not any more. In the past 3 months I've bought 8 pair of boots, and tried on as many more. And am only keeping 2 pair. None of the others are comfortable enough. I'm on my feet walking all day every day. I need a comfortable boot. These are not it. I tried to build up the canyon in the insole which places so much pressure on my feet that they ache at the end of every day. But could manage to compensate for the poor insole design. It's just not flat. The heel and arch are at one height, and then it drops off to a large extent towards the front. And that drop of is so sharp that leaves an area where it's trying to force the bones of the feet to bend. And, guess what? Bones don't bend like that.

Not too pleased
No where on the shoe does it state where it's made, this made me a tad bit suspicious Check all over, every single menu and no where on the manufacturer site does it state made in america, just assembled. Hmmmmm I've bought many things from China and they have all failed in months. You can count the months without counting pass the fingers on a hand. I'm not happy that I am paying top dollar for a shoe company that is doing this. We will see how long this shoe last, if this shoe doesn't last a year, this tells me it is "Made in China" Since these shoes will be put to the test at a car wash, I will be back with the hot-cold weather cycles and consistent wet environment along with acid and detergent soap. This environment will put the shoes to the test.

Runs Narrow
They looked to be an awesome boot very well made listed as a EEE but more like a W. I wear a 2E-3E and these were way to narrow. To bad because they are a great Boot and made in USA. I know it's an insulated boot but make a 3E a 3E or list them what they actuality are.

The best
I got these boots because I love the 8" steel toe Bay Apache boots I wear for work. These will be great for casual. I used to wear the 6" Timberland, these are much more comfortable.
