The screw holes, center to center, are 1-9/16 inches apart, but note that they are not in a straight line. The center hole is about 3/16 inches off line with the other two.

are these solid? and what is the metal/are they plated?

They are made from a light alloy and plated. I will had that I am pleased with them and would order them again.
