How do you increase and decrease the volume with only one button?

Do they need batteries?

No, they don't. There is no noise cancelling on that model, which is usually the only reason why headphones require batteries.

How long is the cord ?

Our JBL Tune 500 has a cord length of 3.90 feet (1.2m)

Question for customers, not seller/mfr pls: will these fit a larger head (23", 58.5cm circ.) with glasses 1) comfortably, and 2) for a long time?

Don't know the size of my noggin for sure but I have a pretty big head! I also wear glasses and I like the way the headphones feel. Beware the short cord if you are using it for anything other than close to your phone or computer/laptop.
