Amazing quality, performance and value
Since I started sea fishing I have been buying reels, many reels (fixed and multiplier) to try and find something that was reliable and performed as I expected. I started out cheap (£20), worked my way up to £100+ (still wasn't getting it) , then borrowed a mates old Penn reel. I liked it so I bought this fathom15 to try, then I bought another, then my mate bought 3 more... It does what it's suposed to, load it up with some quality power pro line and you'll never look back.

Solid reel
I have many Penn reels and rods, like all others, this one is very solid and strong, I will use it for Sea bass and Black fish later this year.

Very light
I bought this reel for jigging. Is very light and strong. I was able to wind over 300 yards of 30 lb braid.

Very good reel. Worth the money.
Well built reel. Larger in height/ diameter than comparable reel from Shimano. Used for fishing for red snapper around 300 feet deep off Destin, Florida. No malfunctions or problems. High speed good for rapid reel up and initial crank up of a fish when the spool is only half full. Low speed turns the reel into a winch, good for reeling up a big fish initially and/or smaller fish when spool is getting full.
