I’ve had a walker for about 2 mos and my hands are getting chafed and are painful. I’ve had these grip covers for less than a week but am ordering another one today. My hands no longer hurt and are not chafed any more. I have 2 walkers so need another right away. I recommend these. Soft, comfy, and easy to put on walker handles.

It’s hard to believe these are the “best” on the market, but they are certainly better than most. The colored cover feels as soft as any polyester - meaning it also collects sweat, oil, and dirt quickly. The foam insert is essentially the same Styrofoam used for Amazon shipping boxes: it doesn’t wick moisture, and it compresses after only a few days of steady use. The product includes two extra foam pads, but that only extends its life by days, not weeks. So why a relatively high rating? Because these grips are better than most, and the color is true to the listing. More importantly, the fabric and Velcro let you add your own padding and lock it in place, which extends usability as long as the fabric stretches and the Velcro holds. The covers, without the padding, can also go in the washing machine (you’ll want to do this often), though they should not go in the dryer. For convenience, buy two sets so you can rotate them between washes.

The grips did not fit over the walker handles with the same level of tighness. One is looser and there is no way to further tighten it as it is fastened with velcro. This causes it to slide and make it more dangerous to the person needing the grip support.

My mom has a type of arthritis in her middle finger that causes it to act like a trigger finger and snap forward when she uses it to grip her rollator handles, grab utensils, and grip pens... it's degenerative and there is no surgical solution (cause it's not a traditional trigger finger). A brace can help but renders that finger useless and is extremely uncomfortable I read about this product on a blog shortlisting the best surgical supplies that benefit seniors so i thought I'd buy them to see if they helped her. She loves them. She says they not only make operating her rollator much more comfortable, they really do keep the finger triggering at bay... I think it's because the finger only does that when it's tightly gripping...the added bulk softens her grip. Anyway, we're just so pleased. The fabric is very soft and comfortable and the velcro is very grippy. I looked at other cheaper products that do the same but the reviews were not good, these must be much more comfortable and better made.

First two days using my walker after knee replacement surgery and I had blisters starting to pop up. I ordered these on day two for overnight delivery and they immediately stopped the blisters from forming. Very comfortable to use and absolutely saved my hands. If you are planning to have a surgery that requires a walker during recovery order these in advance. Highly recommended!
