- Blue Stencil Vinyl Masking Film with Anti-Bleed Technology (12" x 10ft)

Used this for masking airbrush overspray on a large stretched canvas. it honestly was pretty sketchy. had to use a chopstick to hold it down on thin areas when passing with the airbrush because it'd blow up from the air pressure (adhesive too weak). if this were used on a wood panel or even paper it might be perfect. The flex and non consistent texture on the canvas prevents the best bond being made between the adhesive & surface so it was a little nerve wracking when using this. I took it slow and was patient and it turned out great. probably about 5 hours of work on a 4x5foot painting with full masking using a stamp to add texture and an airbrush to add drop shadows in. masking film is vivd blue and transparent, great for seeing dark underlying markings for cutting, a little difficult to see through when used over areas of similar color tho. (contrasting edges is key) this masking film eats through xacto blades like crazy tho, went through probably 20 blades cutting out areas of coverage. clean hard edges were great, subtle and sharp rounded curves were very tedious. Didn't leave any residue on my work surface which was very convenient as well. all in all i'd buy it again, can't beat the price vs frisket and other current masking options. this product is intended for cricut stencil making but was acceptable for fine art application.

I use this stuff for it's intended purpose: as stenciling. I use a 34" vinyl cutter/plotter to cut out the design. - cutting: it cuts effortlessly. The plotter has no issues it feeds like it should, and cuts like it should. - weeding: easy, no issues - application: this part can be a nightmare with other brands, but this one does well. Enough tack to stick, but not so much that it can't be lightly reapplied. Doesn't stick to the transfer tape, but I use the LOWEST amount of tack possible for the tape to aid in separation. No issues. - paint: this is where the product shines. I don't know how, perhaps it's the "anti-bleed" technology 🤣, but it actually does soak up a bit of paint during painting. This must contribute to the perfect, clean lines it produces when removed from the canvas. Removal is easy. I've even searched and called the company itself trying to verify this claim of anti bleed technology lol, as it sounds like marketing bs. No one could clarify, sounded like they had no idea what I was talking about. But either way, it just works.

I used this VViViD blue stencil vinyl masking film for painting and engraving-related stencil work, and it performed very well overall. The material cuts cleanly and weeds reasonably easily without stretching excessively, which is important when working with smaller lettering or detailed stencil designs. The blue color also makes it easier to visually distinguish cut lines during setup compared to standard white masking films. The adhesive strength feels well balanced for stencil applications. It adheres securely enough to minimize lifting during paint application, but it also removes cleanly without excessive residue in my experience. The anti-bleed performance was especially noticeable on sharper edge details where cleaner paint lines matter most. What I appreciated most was the consistency during application and removal. Some stencil films either tear too easily or allow too much paint creep under edges, but this material provided good control and predictable results. For craft work, signage, engraving projects, or paint masking applications, it proved to be a solid and reliable stencil material.

This is mostly a good product. The vinyl feels thick and the backing paper is quality. Be careful removing the backing from the vinyl because it tears unevenly and can leaves fuzzies on your transfer tape. The stencil vinyl adhered very well to a chalkboard surface, but I had bleeding problems, in spite of using the same-color paint technique of pre filling the negative space. It could be the chalk paint I used, but I can't be sure it wasn't the stencil vinyl. I'm keeping the stencil vinyl and I'll try again with a similar project. I'll update afterward about the bleeding.

Easy to work with second time purchase. Adhesive could be a little stronger but for simple stencil it works well. Ink will bleed at edges on porous surfaces like grainy wood. Used to make stencils for our WW2 jeep and tee shirt prize for our rifle league. Since it is so stretchy best used for small projects. I found using a heated cutter increased the chance of edge bleeding. Exacto knife worked best. Pretty good value will buy again

The low tack adhesive is great for not lifting underlying paint surface, and cuts clean on my cricut explore air 2. The con is that this film is prone to air bubbles which , depending on your usage, may or may not be problematic. I

The picture is ridiculous. You think you are getting a butcher paper roll of the vinyl. Nope. It is definitely a low tack vinyl, practically falls off the backing once cut, does stick nicely to very flat surfaces (such as non-textured glass), but not much else. I purchased this to make patterns for stained glass, I am not unhappy with it, but I ended up ordering a permanent stick vinyl for future projects. Did not stay during the whole grinding process, but still better than sharpie or alcohol inks. Actually would work better as a transfer tape. For the cost I'm not too bummed.

This worked wonderfully for creating a stencil. Used it to etch glass with and it turned out great!

I make wood signs and make stencils for them with my cricut. This vinyl work great and will definitely be purchasing again.

I use it for sandblasting stencil designs on glass. Holds up perfect with no bleeding. Easy to transfer and tack level is perfect.

I bought this to make stencils. Maybe it's just me but I could not get a clean cut on the edges for cutting out stencil shapes. I tried a few different tools. Eventually gave up. It did work great to cover flat surfaces and was very sticky. Happy Sticking!

I absolutely love this stuff. To use it to Etch Designs into glassware items. I love that it's transparent so you can stick it right on your phone or computer screen to trace out a design. Then you can peel it off the screen and stick it right to the piece of glassware you are working on and use a precision blade to cut the design out to make it easy hassle free stencil. It cuts easily. You can unstick and restick the vinyl several times which is great if you need to reposition it or adjust the location of it. (Provided you're careful to keep things clean so that no bits of dust or hair get on the back of the vinyl and cause air bubbles.) I have no issues with bleeding under the vinyl with the etching cream either. Also if you peel it off carefully and stick it back to the paper backing that it came on you can reuse the stencil for more products later. I have been looking for a product exactly like this for a long time and I finally found it. This is the PERFECT product for etching glass.
