Great for Hydro Gear Zero Turn Mower Transaxles
Castrol GTX 20w50 has been perfect for the oil changes in my Hustler zero turn mower's Hydro Gear ZT-3100 transaxles going on 16 years now. It meets/exceeds Hydro Gear's requirements, and Amazon's price is less than half the price of the other brands sold at the mower shops and online.

Castrol GTX 20W-50 Conventional Motor Oil
Very good quality conventional motor oil, and a great price, as I prefer conventional over sythetic, and if you use motor oil according to the region and the climate you live in, your vehicle will last longer and you'll thank yourself for it in the long run. It's awful hot where we live in the south, and I have used heavier weight motor oils for over 30 years, and have never had an issue with it, hotter climate use a heavier weight, colder climate use a lighter weight. Excellent performance and lubrication, great value for the money, CASTROL has always produced a good quality motor oil.

I mean its good oil, but...
This is good oil. But, I made the mistake of also changing my oil pump to a high flow pump (as I was trying to fix a low pressure problem). The combination of doing both at once, put my oil pressure at dangerous high levels. Silly mistake on my part, and a total waste of money on this oil (cant return it, its been used for 15 minutes!). But this is good oil to get for an old low pressure engine. Just don't put it into an engine that already has decent pressure with a lower viscosity oil.

A good engine oil for older cars.
Have been using this for my old 1987 model car since 1990...I have resist switching to synthetic or semi synthetic because I do not want to take a chance on engine leaking. This was a problem on early synthetic and I read that the newer synthetic do not have this problem anymore, but why take a chance.. The 5 quarts are a good value when they are selling for around $25, but it seem the price has went up. Not sure I will buy them anymore if they are the same as buying the 1 qts, since I have to use a funnel for the 5 quarts due to clearance on my rear engine car.
