Prettop Magnifying Glass with Light for Reading LED Handheld Magnifier 3X 45X Illuminated for Children Hobbies Crafts Black

I bought this based on the rave reviews here. I wanted something to help me see the tiny writing on electronic components. The main magnifying area is made of glass, which is reassuring. There is some distortion as you'd expect for a cheap MG, but it does a good job with print etc. The built in light illuminates the area quite well. It's a cold light, towards the blue end of the spectrum, from 3 LEDs - 2 LEDs for the main lens and 1 for the smaller lens.The MG is powered by 3 AAA batteries (not supplied).The small high magnification lens is made of acrylic - so be careful cleaning, as it will scratch easily. This smaller lens is used with the MG right up to your eye (because of the very short focal length) and with the item to be viewed very close to the small lens. If you don't hold it right to your eye when using the small lens you get a very badly distorted image - sometimes appearing inverted.The photo I've attached of the crown print was taken with my Iphone right up against the small lens.I marked this down in my initial review because of the poorly printed logo rubbing off on mine. The manufacturer has been in touch and replaced the magnifying glass. The printed logo now appears to be better quality, but it was the level of after sales customer service which swayed me to edit my review to 5 stars. I couldn't have hoped for better support - and so polite too!Very happy with my new magnifying glass!

This may sound a bit nerdy, but my husband buys and sells second hand Lego. I didn’t know this until he started selling it, but every single piece of Lego has a tiny numerical code secretly hidden somewhere on the inside / underneath to help you identify and list the specific piece on the Lego selling site. We were originally using an eyeglass magnifier (used for looking at hall marks on jewellery) but because the codes are usually tucked away in dark corners of Lego pieces, half the time we just couldn’t read the code because it was too dark. This magnifying glass is excellent as the combined smaller, powerful magnifying lense coupled with the bright light has made the job of finding those pesky codes so much easier! The large magnifier is also very good and at this great price, it is a highly recommended handy bit of kit!

Great little magnifying glass for the money. Very useful for the extra small print. Very comfortable to hold. I wouldn't say it is that lightweight though once the batteries are in but it's fine for me as I won't use it to read books/newspapers etc.The small 45x magnifying glass just above the light switch isn't much use though - far too small and makes my eyes blur when I look through it. Once I adjust it is several times bigger but definitely not 45x. Very robust so I think it will last.

With increasing age comes decreasing ability and so, struggling to read the small print, so important so often, I ordered this after looking at a few. I am well pleased with it, it fulfils perfectly the task for which I purchased it. No quibbles at all. A good product, extremely useful.

I am unable to comment on the product in use as IT USES AAA BATTERIES NOT AA as stated in the product description. I bought 4 of these and £30 worth of rechargeable AA barteries only to find they don’t fit! I now have to buy more batteries! I really am very disappointed as it looks a good product for the price, but once you add on the cost of two lots of batteries, it’s not looking quite so good anymore.

its a very neat and quality unit that is easy to use and offers great magnification via the large viewing lens - also offering greater magnification with the smaller window. The addition of the led lights is great.

The light is helpful for me and its well worth the money. Only very slight downside is handle is a bit bulky, (but thats where the batteries go) and it is comfortable to hold.

Perfect for close up work. Easy to any lightweight to hold and the battery seems to go on for ages. Well worth the money.

Da meine Tochter eine Lupe für die Schule benötigt, habe ich dieses Modell ausgesucht.Die Lupe ist ca. 19cm lang und das große Glas hat einen Durchmesser von ca.7cm, also recht groß, ist aber trotzdem recht handlich.Nach dem Einlegen von 3 AAA Batterien (welche nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten sind) leuchten nach dem Einschalten des Schalters auf der Oberseite, die 3 LED auf der Unterseite sehr hell auf.Die Lupe besitzt ein großes und ein kleines Glas für unterschiedliche Vergrößerungen der Schrift.Die Verarbeitung wirkt im gesamten sehr sauber.Ich kann die Lupe absolut weiterempfehlen!

Eine schöne große Lupe, die dennoch handlich ist und stabil wirkt. Durch das integrierte Licht perfekt auch bei ungünstigen Lichtverhältnissen. Ich habe sie erst einige Male benutzt, gehe aber davon aus, dass sie lange halten wird, wenn man sie pfleglich behandelt. Batterien (3xAAA) müssen selbst eingesetzt werden und sind nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten, aber das geht aus der Beschreibung hervor. Für den Preis topp!

Die Lupe ist guenstig. Lieferung erfolgt ohne Batterie -> Die Kosten muss man dazurechnen.Mit 3 AAA Batterien im Griff ist dieser recht dick. Dadurch liegt die Lupe aber auch gut in der Hand. Mit dem Durchmesser wuerde ich die Lupe wahrscheinlich nicht als dauerhafte Leselupe benutzen, aber das muss jeder selbst entscheiden. Die LEDs sind sehr hell, zu beachten ist allerdings, dass diese mittig zwischen den beiden Glaesern liegen -> es ist natuerlich eine andere Ausleuchtung wie bei Lupen die rundherum LEDs haben (z.B. bei gewölbten Gegenstaenden). Andererseits ist dadurch natuerlich der Rand der Lupe nicht so breit. Ich bin mit dem Produkt zufrieden
