I build models in the evenings after work, my partner likes to have the big light off so it can be hard to see what I’m doing. This is perfect. Gets plenty bright and is dimmable to a very low level. It’s also directional enough that it doesn’t disturb her, but gives a big enough light spot that I don’t feel constrained under a spotlight. The colour temp options are really handy for painting, you can check how your paint job will look under different conditions. Can’t beat this for a tenner!

**Q: How many lumens is this light?**
A: The brightest setting on this lamp is not bright at all. I'm very disappointed. I wouldn't even be able to use this as a makeup lamp close up.

A: You're not going to like this then.  The switch is about 15 to 16 inches from the clip.

**Q: How long is the neck on this light?**
A: 18.5 inches from the base of the clip (but not including the clip), although I'm including the circle thing where the light is located at the end.

Great item - works well and is good value for money. I had a similar one, that was supposed to screw into the back of the desk, but my desk design didn't really allow for that. After DIY-ing a solution and about the 7th time the lamp fell over, I found this and it's so much easier. The base is sturdy and quite weighty. Great settings. It would have been a five-star for me if it was taller. Couldn't get it over a 24' screen without putting something else underneath.
