I inherited some upholstered furniture that I liked very much. The problem was that the upholstery and foam reeked of perfume and scented candles. We first tried leaving it outside in the sunshine for 3 weeks, using our portable rug dr to clean it several times. We also tried baking soda. Nothing was working. It abated slightly but was still intolerable. Then we ran our ozone machine for a total of 24 hours. Helped only slightly. Finally I searched on line and decided to give it one more try. Smells Begone is amazing!!! We sprayed the fabric and foam and also used it in the rug dr. Could finally move the furniture into my home. Wish I had stumbled upon it weeks ago. Also discovered it works really well in smelly sneakers. I will always keep the product on hand. Great find.

We've been using SmellsBeGone at home & work for years & years. Why Smells BeGone? No Perfumes! One does not need much of the product to eliminate the odor, so it's economical to use. Gallon size refills are available. At home, a gallon lasts for a few years. The magic potion removes musty odors, pet accident odors, trash container odors & even those car odors that build up over winter and present themselves in spring. For pet accidents, it eliminates the odor so well that another pet doesn't return to the spot to investigate who left the gift. If sprayed onto a surface and the surface is contaminated later with any odor that contains moisture, Smells BeGone comes back alive & returns to work. So the "residual action" of this product is very helpful for things like trash containers. For fabric, haven't encountered any for which this spray causes color problems. I'm sure they exist. On my canvass work jacket, if I go near someone's who is smoking, the jacket picks up the smell until washed. With Smell BeGone, a quick "dusting" with the spray bottle massacres the stinky smoke smell. No more walking around smelling like an ashtray. It is helpful with, believe it or not, groceries. Did you ever notice that many things purchased at a grocery store pick up the perfume that the manufacturer puts into the plastic checkout bags? The fake-flower-stink transfers to one's hands & smells up the pantry closet. A spritz of Smells Begone will destroy the smell lickety-split. There is a slight aroma when the product is first sprayed. To me, it smells like the air after a thunderstorm. This aroma leaves within minutes. The product is pretty much non-toxic. It is so benign that we don't need a MSDS or an SDS sheet at work. The warnings state that it may be "mildly irritating" if ingested or sprayed in the eyes. Bit, I'd still keep it away from kids & not spray your face. I have accidentally gotten it into my eyes and noticed nothing. Summary- After using it for years at home & work, this is my go-to product. Also note that the manufacturer, Punati, makes many specialty cleaning & deodorizing products which do their tasks with equal efficiently.

When I first found this amazing product - over a decade ago, I was working in NYC offices with second hand smoke (up to 2K smokes in a 20 minute period - official count by City Government agencies). I had air filters et al and this product which helped to reduce the toxins in the air. Eventually my health collapsed as no product could take on such a huge load! That said - after a building fire and years of exposure to toxic products during renovations - I ended up with true chemical injury and at an end stage. This means near complete collapse of all organs and that even slight chemicals in certain classes caused Anaphylactic type reactions. Ie I could not be around any products that were made of petro chemicals (most perfumes, and other so called "fragrance" products, cleaners which are now made out of left over oil by products and very toxic.)... Many such so called air fresheners contain such products although hidden ie one would have to read the material safety data sheet. I have a background in biochemistry and was to obtain my masters in a health care field. (and over 40 years of arts and arts chemistry). After doing much research on others similar products - and speaking with management of Punati and being reassured the formula of this product was the same as the original fragrance free (and researching the msds) I bought it again. Well here is my review. I am using it on my boyfriends clothing as he picks up these toxic products at work and in the air from others (these petro products trans migrate ie molecules in the air settle on other items like clothing, furniture so on and are extremely hard to remove).... As well, when another tenant uses "scented" candles or burns incense it fills the hallways - so I spray there to reduce to toxic products. Although it took more then one spritzing on the clothing (and washing takes borax as these molecules are extremely hard to remove) - ie spray then let dry, spray again, it did the job of eliminating the off gassing of these products. I like another reviewer still seem (can't remember exactly) the original was more concentrated (I think one had to dilute it) but this is what they make now and still works and unlike many others I researched which stated non toxic - hidden in the msds were toxic "fragrance" and other products. I would highly recommend this product over the many others listed as "safe" and being highly reactive to these toxins can say "the Canary gives it a thumbs up" lol.

I came here searching for the original smells begone in the white bottle and flower pic on the front. That stuff was like magic. It was completely odorless and removed any foul scent. Well this is a close second.. it does a good job at eliminating odors but it does have a slightly soapy smell. It’s not bad and 100x better than most air fresheners on the market (which generally make me want to vomit). If you want good odor elimination and hate the smell of febreeze/gain/Lysol then this is your product. Update: 8/28/23 I reordered this product and to my delight there was no soapy smell this time! Pure odorless bliss like the original.

I've seen things... seen and smelled things you little people wouldn't believe. Dead vermin off the shoulder of Orion odiferous as a dying star on a 100 degree day... I rode on the back decks of a blinker and smelled poop walls glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those smells... they'll be gone. 10/10 this works very well for healthcare.

The original “formula” for this product must have changed because it is not as effective as it used to be. The first bottle I bought lasted a looooong time and only needed 1 or 2 sprays to deodorize the air and did a fantastic job with none of the awful perfumed fragrances many air deodorizer use. When after a year or more I went to buy this product again, it was not nearly as effective. Still doesn’t have the cloying perfumed fragrance and leaves a clean, ozone type atmosphere, but only after many more sprays than the original product. A friend said the original company was bought out and the new company made some changes in the product and that is why it doesn’t work as well. It is still way better than most if not all of the nasty plug ins and heavily scented products. Just a hunch but wondering if the formula was changed to generate more profits? More sprays needed to clear the air equals consumers having to buy the product more often.

Product itself is pretty good, but don't count on the plastic bottle to last long. I purchased the 128 gallon. It was sitting on the floor of my laundry room, untouched and unmoved for weeks, when it started leaking from the bottom. Big mess, product wasted, time and effort expended on my part. Tried to chat with Amazon messaging assistant to the seller but it wouldn't go through. Not happy here. (And annoyed with myself that I just recently got rid of good empty bottles I could have decanted it into.)

I bought this product specifically to freshen up items that I inherited from a family member (cigarette smoke smell, and general musty smells from being in storage). It worked like a charm, even on cardboard boxes.

Bought SMELLS BEGONE for my vehicle, which came with that lingering stale smoke smell from the previous owner. After trying a few air fresheners that just covered it up, this was the first thing that actually made a difference. I’ve used about half a bottle so far, spraying anywhere there’s fabric or carpet, and it’s helped tremendously. The odor isn’t 100% gone, but it’s at least 90% better — which is more than I expected from a spray. If you’re battling deep, stuck-in smoke smells, this stuff is worth a shot. It doesn’t just mask the odor, it really reduces.

I'm beyond impressed with this product! I just received it today and have eliminated the smell of cigarette smoke from my sunroom furniture. I sprayed all the furniture cushions, the throw cushions and carpet twice and I can no longer smell cigarette smoke. The sunroom has three walls of screening but is boarded up in the winter and I smoke in there. 7 yrs of cigarette smoke stink has been eliminated! I am amazed. I had tried febreeze fabric spays but that was like putting perfume on a dirty body. This stuff gave the fabric a scent that was more like a new garment scent. I am beyond pleased. I highly recommend this product and I will be buying it again. Thank you so much to the makers of this product, as I cannot machine wash or hand wash the covers on the furniture cushions. . . I thought about dry cleaning them, but nothing on the launder instructions says anything about that. . .but surely with the amount of covers I have, it would cost over $500.00 in dry cleaning! THIS ROCKS!

It seems to work well

Works really well with smell. My poop smells sooo bad 😂 and this is of great help when i have people around. Also people smoke weird stuff in my neighborhood and the smell drives me INSANE, this spray helps eliminate that smell to about 95%
