Came nicely packaged with no smell. Will update after washing and our upcoming trip.Update: I've had this for over 3 months and wash it every week. No holes and the color is still in tact. The material is so soft and very breathable so myself and baby dont get too hot. The neck whole is perfect sized and very stretchy so you can easily peak in to see your baby. It did take some getting used to not being able to really see while getting baby to latch, but if I'm struggling, I'll just tuck my head inside real quick until he latches. I have only used it as a carseat cover once, but it worked great that way as well. The material is very stretchy so it fit with no issues.
