Important things to remember: Place the tubers at a 45° angle with the non-growing end against the side of the pot and the crown(where the leaves come out) towards the middle of the pot. It did well for this first year, I had a few dozen lily pads and 2 blooms. Currently, our pond is frozen. I’m sure it will be back this spring/summer season. I have planted lily rhizomes before and they take off and multiply for years. My pond does not have wild water lilies. **Q: Will these grow in a tank, if so, how do i transplant** A: Don't think they would grow in a tank but mine didn't grow at all. **Q: when initially planting the tubular, is the entire plant underwater?** A: Yes, i have planted both my water lilies tuber completely submerged in water. They do fine and grow fast. **Q: Can you plant these in November** A: If you have a good tuber I think you could plant it anytime but in Nov. you won't see any growth until next spring. I didn't get a good yellow Tuber and it never grew. I’ve ordered from this seller twice. Each time the rhizome came a day earlier than expected. But I’m in Phoenix, Az and in May it was already above 100 degrees. It came a day early and accidentally sat in the hot hot mailbox for too long. It looked fantastic with lots of growth and leaves, but unfortunately I think the heat was the problem and it did not survive. I contacted the seller, unsure if it was dead or if I should give it more time to rebound. The seller said he would send another at no charge. I didn’t feel like it was the sellers fault, as the rhizome he mailed looked so healthy. So, I purchased the next one with my own money. I stalked the shipping progress knowing it could arrive early and I didn’t want it sitting in the mailbox. It arrived early and I put it in the cool pond immediately while I got the planting supplies ready. I can’t believe how quickly the leaves grow to reach the surface. This lily has continued to keep putting out leaves all summer. My pond gets mostly shade all day so no flowers, but that’s to be expected and I’m ok with that. I wanted the lily, not for the flowers, but so the bees had a safe place to land to drink water.
