Beautiful edition with authentic texts and amazing illustrations by Bilibin.

GREAT BOOK WITH VERY POPULAR TALES
I am in Russian 2 in College and had to do a project on Russian fairytales. The internet does not have much on the topic to be honest so I am so glad I purchased this book, it is beautifully illustrated and it was a great way to present them to my class instead of a boring ol' powerpoint. My Russian friends said these were all very famous Russian tales. Mind you, this book is ONLY IN RUSSIAN, no english translations, but that makes it even better to me, and with my level of russian i could piece the story together without needing translations. Thank you Alexander Afanasyev for the A on my project!

Beatiful illustrations with known folk tales
I bought this book for my 3yo for the illustrations and her love for fairytales. She speaks russian very well so the book was very easy to understand. The illustrations are beautiful! I know one of the reviews said that the book was cheaply made but I don't feel like it was. It was paperback so what more can I expect; it didn't take away from the illustrations for me or my daughter. We still love it and read it often.

I love the book, and illustrations are out of this world! As for being used I would put acceptable next time for condition, not good.

Great stories
Learning Russian and thought I would get a story book in Russian. The stories are great, the book itself is of good quality, and the illustrations are beautiful. I just wish there were a bit more stories. My only issue is that i was expecting a smaller, but thicker book from the pictures but the book is thin with big pages.

Great Russian Book
This book is only in Russian and has great images that goes alone with the stories. The stories are very traditional and my husband, who is Russian loves, this book.

It's definitely for kids that are a bit older like 3/4 years of age. Other that that good book good classic Russian tails.

Beautiful book!
I'm a Russian learner and bought this to practice. It is a beautiful book with gorgeous illustration! I can't comment much on the content of the stories as I've yet to work through them, but I love the book!
