The Norton Anthology of English Literature (Ninth Edition) (Vol. Package 2: Volumes D, E, F)

What I needed for a class, but the Norton Anthology books are excellent for any reader trying to delve into a specific time-period. Comes in three volumes, no hard case for them but small paper-like band to keep them together.

I had to buy these books for my British Literature course, but still value them outside of the program. These are solid collections of great literature with informative introductions. The interior layout is also intuitive and visually satisfying. I ended up getting the set that breaks the different time periods into different books, which was way better than just having the one giant volume. Needless to say, everyone in my class was a bit jealous that I didn't have to carry around a brick.

College textbook which is hard to find at such a good price and delivered ahead of schedule. Awesome!

The product I ordered is supposed to be three books. The package I received today only had one of the three books inside, volume F. This is the second time in a row that this has happened on the same product I have been trying to order for class tomorrow.

I got this book for a college course. The newer works are the ones you won't find available on the internet, but even the older pieces come with great introductions to the period (Romantic, Victorian, etc.) and great intros for the authors, their own "[defenses] of poetry," and key notations that help the reader throughout. I do recommend this book to anyone who'd love to not only read literature but also better understand it as well as its authors.

Purchased this as was required for my daughter’s college class. Came in good condition.

I needed these for class. I love them. Whether you are a student or looking for an inclusive anthology, these are great and the supply website for them is very helpful as well. You get a code for the website inside the books and it has many resources on it as well. W W Norton is great.

Acquistato per esami universitari ma lo consiglio a chiunque sia appassionato della materia e abbia un buon livello d'inglese. Precedentemente avevo acquistato il volume 1 che ha all'incirca le stesse dimensioni (circa 4000 pagine) ma era un unico volume, questo invece è stato diviso in tre volumi quindi molto più pratico. Come al solito il pacco è arrivato in ottime condizioni e con un giorno di anticipo rispetto al previsto. Ordinato lunedì pomeriggio è arrivato giovedì mattina.

Las mejor ediciòn disponible y a excelente precio. Esta ediciòn vale màs la pena que la de dos tomos pues no es necesario cargar tanto. Tiempo de entrega inmejorable.

Great anthology! It includes all the major (and some not-so-major) English authors from the Romantic period to the Modern. An essential for English students, or those interested in getting selections from the most prolific English writers. In addition to the great literature, Norton includes helpful footnotes and excellent scholarly essays on major periods, authors, and literary works, etc. These editions, along with the set's convenient formatting, make this collection well worth the price. I bought this as an alternative to the single volume version (Ed. 9 vol. 2), which is so massively proportioned that I nick-named it "Nortonne." This three volume set (Ed. 9, Volumes D, E, F) is much easier to handle and transport. It has all the same page numbers as the single volume, so it's exactly the same thing only split up.

Very happy with this purchase. It is certainly a good idea to divide the volumes into smaller units. Extremely interesting Anthology, clear and well structured. It is something that takes pride of place on my book shelf and I will use time and again, both for study and for pleasure.
