What is the actual volume the 5 gallon pots contain? Usually not exact, but doesn't need to be.

they are really like 3.5 gallons and THIS IS WHY "A trade gallon is a unit of size for standard plant containers in the horticultural industries. A trade gallon is equal to approximately .71 U.S. liquid gallons."
Another seller has this on their pots, so when you get a 5 gallon bucket of paint or bucket of that size, that is why it is larger. So this explains why my 2 gallon pot  was barely able to fit into THIS 5 gallon pot.

Are these one time use pots, or will they be able to be washed and reused a few times?

Would these be good to grow pineapples in?  I can not plant directly in the ground. Thanks

I have had fantastic luck with pineapples in these (other brand but same basic thing) grow bags. I use the 7 gallon (trade) size and it will take 2-3 years for a plant to mature and produce a pineapple.  Like you, I have to bring mine inside each  winter and I will trim some of the lowest leaves to be able to make a little more room.  Another hint is when you bring them in, you will need to put them in trays but I also put a wrap of clear cling wrap around the pot so when you water the plants, it doesn't leak out the sides and miss the tray.

I harvested 5 pineapples last year (2021) and they are the best tasting, juiciest pineapples I have ever tasted.   My plants also produce enough offshoots to allow my total number of plants to increase. Research growing pineapples. The mother plant will only produce a single fruit, use the top from the picked fruit and the offshoots to grow more plants.  I also grow organically, using only fish emulsion fertilizer.  You also need to provide very loamy soil for good drainage with pineapples as if the soil holds too much water, the roots can rot.  I use a mixture of potting soil, peat moss and play sand with the addition of a little mushroom compost and/or black kow manure.  You should have enough sand to be able to see the grains after getting everything mixed well.
