I bought two, one for my oldest, size 10, and another for my younger, 6X. I have reviewed both.My daughter is almost 9 years old, is 85lbs, and 4’6” and this dress was perfect for the wedding I bought it for. She’s not girly and she likes this dress. It is comfortable and has pockets for sneaking mints, like she did. It reaches just to her ankles which was perfect for dancing. It is not thin, nor very thick. It is cool to wear. I would give this size 5 Stars.My five year old is 3’4” and usually wears a 6X and it fits length wise, but a little wide. I got the 6X assuming it would be a little big but this dress was really long! This dress was bought for a wedding and was the smallest size. It is the exact dress as her big sister’s, so I wasn’t going to return it. I tailored it and it was very simple to do. It was 2” too wide and almost a foot too long. I didn’t cut the dress so I could let it out as she grows. She will probably wear this dress for another three years to church, and she would be fine with it. It is comfortable, has pockets for all the pebbles she picks up (-_-), and worked for her, a girly-girl, and her tomboy older sister whom wore the same dress in a larger size.

Cutest Dress Ever! Size was good,.. Quality was Great, Arrived Very Quickly. My Daughter is about 47inches tall and weighs 40# ,I ordered her a 6... this dress fit her perfectly wearing wedges.

I bought this for my tall-ish 5 1/2 year old. She is 45" tall, and 35" at the shoulder.Let's do a little math here. The size chart says the length of the dress is 40" and the recommended height is 43-46 inches. If your child's proportions are anything like mine, then your 46" tall child will have a 36" shoulder, which means your 6 year old daughter will have to wear 4" heels to make the length of this dress work for that height. They need to change their chart.Anyway, the dress that came was 39", so it's still 4 inches too long for her. The sleeves are also a bit long, definitely closer to her wrists than her elbows, so at least the dress is proportionate.That said, it's a beautiful dress, and she loves it so much! I'll just have to hem it for her.

My daughter chose the short dark blue version of this dress for picture day. She loves it (especially the pockets) and says that it is comfortable; however, I think that the cut of the dress is slightly off from what is pictured in the ad. It's very subtle, but I think the difference is in both the waist seam and in the cut of the hem.On the up-side, the material is better quality than other dresses we have purchased in the past from Amazon and it has held up well after it's first wash.

Perfect fit my daughter was 6 tall and thin.

This dress is absolutely beautiful. Bought it for my daughters 1st grade picture day. I had to get a smaller size because the 8 was way to large for her, she joked that I might be able to wear it and I’m not a small woman. Instead of returning we just kept it because it is that pretty, I’m sure she will wear it through both sizes. She says it’s super comfortable and loved the way it flowed.

I looked everywhere for a floor length dress for my girl, most of them end just above the ankles. She is so pleased with this as it actually is floor length! Lovely fabric with a little stretch, hangs beautifully. We chose age 6 as this is her age, though she is little for her age. The fit is as expected, just a little big on the shoulders but that is the same with all age 6 clothes on her. I think it would be a perfect fit for an average 6yr old.

I bought the green maxi dress for my tall 9 year old daughter and it is the most beautiful dress! It looks fantastic, is made of lovely thick material and is great quality. A really beautiful dress!
