can you grind these and brew them like coffee?

Yes, you can! Use a French Press, and allow them to steep for about 10 minutes. I find that stirring a couple of minutes after adding the water and at about 6 minutes helps, as the air trapped in the cocoa expands as it heats up and causes foam to develop. Stirring breaks the foam and releases the hot air, allowing the water to steep the cocoa. Delicious with a little sweetener, and a small splash of milk (like one might add to tea) really makes this a treat.

Can these be roasted to make chocolate?

Yes they can. I roast them all the time to make Mexican chocolate discs.

Are the beans easier to chew than cacao nibs? When I chew the nibs I worry I'm going to break a tooth!

I haven't tried to chew beans. Overall it's great product.
