Well worth it for me.
Know that there are at least two types of cylinder - one with a white button on top and one with bike derailleur-ish side activation. These guy carry both. Shoot them an email ahead of time if you need to.Their customer service is top notch. I had some issues with getting everything squared away and they were incredibly responsive and thorough. I can't recommend them enough.As for the cylinder itself, I'm 6'5 and it goes more than high enough to take my feet off the ground and low enough to be too low. Great to finally have the right range of choices.

Great for tall people who's legs are not at the ...
I needed to take a standard office chair and add two plus inches to the height. My wife has long legs and had trouble with all the standard office chairs. By using the Tall Gas Cylinder, she how has the extra height she wanted and loves her chair again. Great for tall people who's legs are not at the proper height for long periods of time.

Update
Update on earlier review. My initial comment noted that the lowest setting on chair, after installing this replacement, was higher than I would have liked. After using the chair for about a week, the cylinder seems to be relaxing a bit so now the chair lowers to an appropriate height. I'm increasing my rating to 4*.

But even that made it look easy. I'm a really big guy
Once installed, it met expectations, but removing my old cylinder on a Herman Miller Areon chair was REALLY HARD. The instructions didn't really explain how hard it would be, so I needed to go to a YOU-TUBE video. But even that made it look easy. I'm a really big guy. I tried a pipe wrench to twist it off. I tried separating it with all of the force of my legs and arms pushing and pulling. I literally needed to hit this with a sledge hammer at least 20 times to break the seal free.
