Easy Peasy.
Firstly, other reviewers bemoan the fact of having to use screwdriver or knive to get the cover off the dongle. The cover slides up from the bottom, USB base. There is no need to cut yourself and bleed over your cream carpet.I inserted a Three SIM card into the dongle. Plugged into the PC USB, on WIN10 it recognises as a another drive. Don't despair. Open the drive and you will see the files. Run the .exe file and this will open a webpage. The page allows you to vary settings, though it's default settings are adequate for home use.A handy data monitoring setting allows you to check on data usage and signal strength. You can also receive and send SMS messages if that's your bag.If your in a poor signal area, try using a USB extension lead. This allows you to locate the dongle away from your PC/Laptop and may help to increase your signal strength. For the price, you can't really complain or go wrong. All in all a great dongle at a great price. Unlocked to ALL networks too.

Great network dongle, but...
Five stars for everything when it’s used as sold, no complaints. However, because a number of online sources and tutorials say it works, I bought it to use with a Raspberry Pi for SMS stuff. It doesn’t Work :( It appears to be too new, or at least it’s firmware is (it’s several years old now) such that it won’t appear on Raspbian as ttyUSBx devices even with usb_modeswitch :( Shame, the price was right. FWIW I couldn’t get it to work for SMS on a 2016 laptop with Ubuntu 18.10 LTS either (using USB2 or USB3 ports), but Ubuntu did immediately set it up as eth1 instantly with no additional software needed. So it works great, but not as a GSM modem for AT commands or use with things like GAMMU / WAMMU :( The one I got is labelled as E3531i-2.

As above
Having recently purchased a laptop to do the things a mobile phone cannot, I took the executive decision to purchase a 4G dongle, not being signed up to a broadband provider... Having shopped around the dongle is half the price you would pay on the high st and come with the added bonus of being 'unlocked' - and brand new/still in its packaging.... The dongle was incompatible with the Vodafone sim but '3' connected.... Given a choice and from experience it would probably be better and more competitive to have a broadband contract, where your wi-fi connectivity would be 'hassle free'....

Just as good as a 4g dongle and easy to install on a laptop.
We use the 200mb internet with legs bundle on Three with this dongle, it works a treat and loads internet pages quickly. I like the connect status page as it clearly shows you the signal, gives you access to SMS text messages, and allows you to configure your device easily. It also monitors data usage so you can track how much you've used. It also looks really good (we purchased the white one) as it matches the colour of our MAC. We get around 1mb per second which is reasonable in our area. Overall extremely good product that is easy to install (make sure you push the cover up when putting a sim inside it)

It works.
Only had cause to use it a couple of times but it seems to do exactly what it says on the tin. The only problem I've found so far is that it seems to preclude using any other internet connection whilst it is in the computer and you have to be careful not to let the computer do background work on the internet whilst paying for the connection. Any problems relate to needing to know all about your computer settings, rather than being issues with the dongle, and of course you need to understand what your contract charges are for data, especially if going abroad.
