This can is just one part of the Giani Bombay Black kit, so this can by itself will not give you a granite look. However, Giani may be applied over ceramic tile with additional prep work. It will fill in the grout or make the countertop level. We've had hundreds of Giani customers apply over ceramic tile with great results. Here are the steps for additional prep work: To apply Giani to your ceramic tile, please follow these directions: • First, clean the tile to ensure it's free of all residue. Use SOS® or Brillo® pads and then wipe with a damp cloth. • Rinse the surface with water to ensure all residue is removed. • Next, use a fine grit silicon carbide sand paper to lightly rough up your tile surface. • Wipe up the sanding dust with a damp cloth and allow to dry. However you still need to follow the steps for application of the paint. Like sanding, priming, painting and then applying a top coat. **Q: Can you this paint on canvas?** A: Yes this is a water based acrylic and could be used on canvass is you desired. I highly recommend this product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Do it!!!!! *by E***L on August 8, 2016* Have contemplated for years what lipstick I could put on this pig (a.k.a. 1980's kitchen - laminate countertops and cabinets in a rental property). Thanks to Pinterest, decided to paint the cabinets, but the countertops??!! After research and finding Gianni, reviews looked good enough to give it a shot. Best decision I could have made!! Just finished them (cabinets will be next), so review on how they hold up will be forthcoming. Pointers on par with many other reviews: 1.watch all vids. I found an awesome technique on YouTube that looks like poured concrete. Pretty Easy and looks amazing! 2. Sanding LIgHTLY before and during clear top coats recommended 3. Apply liberally to get the best effect. Makes it easier to work with and more forgiving and cool results 4. 3 layers of the top coat, and go heavy on the last coat, with only 2-3 passes before loading up next application. Cures roller lines. Need to plan a few days to get all the steps/drying between layers. Don't rush this. If your countertops need some rehab, this is such an amazing and affordable option when a full remodel isn't an option. I am pairing peel and stick Tic TAC Tiles (also on Amazon) with this project and will post pics of the big reveal when done.
