Great looking accessory. Helps keep your pants from getting chain rub and oil on it.

It helps keep grease off my pants. My bike didn't have a chain guard to keep my pants leg from getting grease stains every ride. I put this on the outside of the chain ring and used a screwdriver to bend outward so the outer ring on this chainring guard spins in a plane out past my front derailleur. Although I bought 2 sizes with the same order, the one size I predicted would work for me did. As a bonus, the way I installed it and bent it out, it now serves to help prevent the chain from jumping outside chainring when switching up to the highest gear, which still sometimes happened even though I tuned the screws that control the derailleur. Drawback: I took the bike out to where rocks were and this chainring guard does not advertise itself or price itself as a "Bash Guard". The rocks bent the guard easily. I knew with the name and price that I was purchasing protection for my pant legs not against rocks, so I will maintain the 5 star review.

Really good looking. Solid piece of aluminum. Did not fit on my crank at all. Just a bit too small. Holes didn't match up. Real shame. I really wanted this to work. I have Shimano FC-TY501.

Light weight, fits perfectly and the bolts are the correct size. Just barely covers my 42t chainring. Pretty good for the price.

Super crappy bolts, do not use! Included silver bolts rattled loose on first ride, and I tightened those suckers fiercely. Lightweight guard otherwise, decent metal, not quite flimsy but enough to create some barrier between ring and pants. Got a branded bash guard instead if you peace of mind from damage. Red matches well enough with typical anodized parts.

This chain guard is completely flat. The mounts on the crank, screw holes were recessed and due to minimal surface area of the guard, was not able to drill holes through it directly. I had to align so the most surface area aligned with each screw hole, outlinethe hole onto guard & dremel out. Used stainless steel washers/ nuts and very flat head bolts to mount. With all tightened holds and looks great. Used cut off toolto trim bolt at the nut.

This fits good and the price is great. It is useful to avoid clothing damage from the outer most sprocket. It also functions as a guard for riding over obstacles. This guard is thin so a large rock impact might cause damage.

It got 1 hit, not too big, already dented as hell. Not a heavy duty product

Converted my flat bar 8 speed road bike to 1x and was getting chain drop even though using narrow wide chainring. I'm not running a clutch rear mech so fitted this aluminium chain guide and it definitely helps to stop chain from dropping. Update: Bought another for mountain bike as I've altered it to 1x. This time the chainring guard came with 4 great quality torx chainring bolts which I've kept as spares. Hoping this guard will help to stop chain drop on my home made 1x setup like it has on my other bike.
