Mamaโs Got that Good Skin
Iโm a lifetime acne sufferer with the scars, large pores and constant redness to show for it. Iโve had success with sulfur-based products in the past but I had switched to the Unblemish regimen with great results for years. Once pregnant, however, itโs ingredients were absolutely not safe to continue using. 3 months post pardom the flare ups started again and I searched for a breastfeeding compatible regimen, landing on the Belli products. I waited until 4+ weeks to write a review and Iโm thrilled to say that my comodonal forehead acne, my cystic chin and cheek acne and my huge pores have ALL cleared. My skin is honestly glowing. I used this with the blemish cream every night. You have to stick with it to see results but Im SO relieved I found a natural, gentle solution I can continue using for a long time to come. Oh, and it does not smell bad at all, esp. compared to other sulfur products Iโve used. Any *very slight* unpleasantness in odor is more than made up for with its safe effectiveness.

It works, start slow to adjust to exfoliation
Discovered this product when pregnant. Incorporating it into a truly consistent cleansing schedule/routine truly helped with my always acne-prone skin. After pregnancy I continued using it at night on my T zone, which is more prone to breakouts, prior to a gentle non-active cleanser (on entire face). It helps with blackheads on my nose, and practically eliminates my need for benzoyl peroxide. As time passes obviously I age and perhaps my skin changes. However, historically, I have a greasy T-zone, and am prone to breakouts (whiteheads and cystic acne) especially where my hair or hands touch my face a lot (in and out of the T zone). Through experimentation, I know that if I touch my face a lot, donโt wash my face within 18ish hours of prior washing, and donโt manage two washings a day generally, I will experience some cystic acne about 2 weeks later. Very consistent. Benzoyl peroxide has historically been my preferred acne treatment product, until pregnancy. Salicylic acid never worked quite as well for me in terms of reducing redness/inflammation or healing zits or preventing acne, but helped. Even with a consistent routine, I need some help from a product for added exfoliation. And I particularly rely on products like benzoyl peroxide if I have strayed from routine. The lactic acid in this face wash offers a boost of exfoliation that my cleanser doesnโt provide (which the more sensitive and dry skin on my face does not need or tolerate generally). The literature on skin and acne (the same that say acne takes two weeks to form) indicate that physical exfoliants (towels, scrubs) just scratch up the facial skin and allow bacteria into the skin, leading to acne. For years I wasnโt sure how I felt about this, or the thing about taking two weeks for acne to form, or the other thing about moisturizer helping to even out oil production! For twenty years it seemed like literally anything I did or used could make acne worse within a couple days (and my skin was flaky and irritated). The two week time period, if true, made it very difficult to really tell if there was a cause and effect for any product or action, since acne was popping up all the time. Eventually I got desperate and rather than chase antibiotic creams, I stripped the routine down to one cleansing product for over two weeks to get a baseline, tracking my product use and skin/acne status in a calendar, and introducing one new product (lotion, acne treatment, new cleanser) only after at least two weeks had passed. This is how I confirmed the routine/scheduled I need, and that some moisturizers are terrible for me while others are great. This made it much easier, since, to see when something like a product or schedule change impacts my skin (yes, two weeks later). In fact, scrubs donโt help sensitive skin. All of this to say, this product is definitively part of my life forever more while I continue to get adult acne, and certainly when I am pregnant.

Completely turned my terrible skin around!
I bought this face wash in my second trimester, at a loss for what else to do for my skin. I've always had bad hormonal acne (I've been on Accutane in the past) and when I got pregnant, it went out of control. Coupled with the fact that I could no longer use any of my tried and true acne products and prescriptions, my acne really took a turn for the worse. I hated going out in public and I did not feel any of the pregnancy "glow" people were talking about. My acne hadn't been so bad since I was a teenager and I had it bad: pustules, cystic acne as well as whiteheads that grew in clusters. My dermatologist kept assuring me that washing my face with Cetaphil was the best thing for my skin, along with clindamycin and prescription antibiotics, but it never improved. Finally after doing a ton of research online (my dermatologist and OB/GYN both were completely useless on this point) I decided to try this face wash. My skin has done a COMPLETE 180 since I started using this. I went from having a new blemish on my face every day to only getting one or two every other week, and when I do they are tiny whiteheads that can be easily taken care of. I don't know if it is solely the result of the face wash or if getting farther away from the first trimester is helping, but I am loving this product and I hope it will continue working after baby is born. I wash my skin with this face wash twice daily with a Clarisonic Mia. I follow with Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid Toner (another lifesaver) as well as prescription clindamycin. I am still searching for a good moisturizer. I have also tried the spot treatment and it works very well. If you were like me, at the end of your rope with your hormonal acne, give this a try!

Natural, Citrus-smelling, and Acne-calming so far!
I've used this a few times now, and I feel comfortable enough with it to leave a review. First, I LOVE the smell. Most face washes have that chemical smell, but not this one! It's so natural, with a hint of citrus and tea leaves that is so pleasant. I have skin that isn't particularly sensitive, but can dry out in areas other than my t-zone, and this hasn't caused ANY drying, which is great! If I have to use any moisturizer, then I get way too oily, but this leaves my skin softer. As for blemish control, I'm having adult acne issues the likes of which I didn't even know were possible. I never had major acne issues as a teenager, so I had no clue what works for me and what doesn't up until now. This hasn't made everything go away (yet), but I've used it for about 2 weeks so I definitely intend to keep using it. I will say I've noticed that the angry red irritation has lessened, and that my acne tends to stay pink or flesh toned now, and more sub-dermis rather than white heads and black heads, which I can handle! It's easier for me to hide them when they're not red angry welts on my face. This stuff seems to calm my face down, and I love that! I'm happy with it thus far, and holding faith that it will continue progress in terms of beginning to help me clear up the acne too. I will of course update this review in a few weeks on it's success or not on that front! If you're in the market for a gentle, more natural face wash that smells nice, is gentle on your skin, and isn't chalk full of chemicals (especially pregnant gals or anyone with major skin allergies!), I would highly recommend this! It's not just acne friendly... I wish I had known about this stuff long ago, it's way better than aveeno and a few other "skin friendly natural" style brands. UPDATE: (about 4 months later!) So I have been using this since January, and it's now the beginning of May, and while I love that it is good for helping with surface blemishes, I don't think it's cut out for helping with the sub-skin issues. My angry welts persist, and I am having to alternate between this and one of the Cetaphil foaming washes. I feel like that one dries my skin out so much, which really sucks, but at the same time it helps with the welts, which is something this one lacks. I still really think this one is so gentle, and for someone like me who has to keep their face pretty clean, aka cleaning makeup off up to twice a day because it melts in Texas heat, and that's when my pores are clogging... I really appreciate that this isn't drying me out! Still loving the smell too!! Just wish it could handle the bigger acne issues

Good cleanser but not favorite.
Very light cleanser and was a great part of my skin care routine. Does not lather much, but thatโs okay with me as I still feel it cleans effectively and doesnโt dry my skin out. Although it says safe for pregnancy thereโs a few ingredients I donโt love (e.g., phenoxyethanol). I definitely noticed a difference in my skin and my cystic acne has really improved, but I donโt think it was the cleanser alone, but was more so part of the โpackageโ of my new skin care routine and diet change. But definitely didnโt hurt. Probably will not purchase again but could be great for others!

Great Product. Repeat customer!
Love this product. Currently pregnant with #3 and I have used it in my previous 2 pregnancies. I feel clean and refreshed with no worries. I have pretty clear skin when pregnant so not sure how it will work if someone has super oily skin. But overall my face feels soft and moist without any issues.

Clear Skin and Peace of Mind during Pregnancy!
I am 15 weeks pregnant with my first baby, and around a month ago I purchased the Belli Anti-Blemish Face Wash, Healthy Glow Facial Hydrator, and the Acne Control Spot Treatment. I wanted to use products that were completely safe for myself and my baby, while also giving me beautiful skin. Over the years, I have used countless high-end products for hormonal acne, and nothing compares to the Belli products. My 34-year old skin looks better now during pregnancy (minimal breakouts, a radiance that family and colleagues have commented on) than it did before! I have very sensitive skin, and I had no reactions. I started to see a positive change in my skin immediately. As a result, I just purchased the Fresh Start Pre-Treatment Scrub and the Pure and Pampered Body Wash. I love the smell and feel of all the Belli products, and they have given me confidence and clarity (literally) during my pregnancy! I highly recommend the Belli line!

Wow, this stuff is amazing
Okay, so i had doubts that this would work, my skin is pretty sensitive to face products, and being 5 months pregnant, it has just been an absolute mess. My whole chin was just a mass of inflamed, painful and red pimples. I looked like i had a beard of pimples pretty much- awful and embarrassing. I decided to try this face wash after reading the reviews and thought why not, i had nothing to lose at this point. I started using right away, twice a day, less than a week ago and let me tell you, my skin is already about 80 percent better than it was! It immediately started drying up these huge pimples, and yes it does leave my skin a little dry, but i use a light moisturizer and it has helped. This has not made me break out more or caused any sort of reaction, and usually faces washes, soaps etc always do. I have used on my whole face and the only area that has been dryer is where the pimples are, so that tells me it is just drying up the necessary areas. I love this face wash. I will continue to use, and will be buying again. Thank you belli for making this pregnant woman feel beautiful again!
