A bit dramatic but no. So much sensory wise is going on for your little kiddo. The sounds. The feeling. Being required to sit still for a long time. Its a lot and a lot of 'kid friendly' places aren't autism friendly people. So. We do it ourselves. One thing we tried to do is to cut a clump and throw it away to try to get as little onto his shoulders. But it took too long to do. Found this by a happy accident, bought a neck duster as well and BOOM. Easy. What took hours to complete with tears, screams and trouble calming down by being overloaded. Had only taken barely thirty minutes to complete. He loved the space print. He cautiously watched his hair fall onto his covered lap but found it entertaining to knock it off onto the floor or us! Did not matter how much of a mess that was made because in the end, we did it. We made it easier for him to process.
