Is this product made in China?

Yes it is. The print was really fine. My husband is not a fan of it. He prefers “Badger” brand and it’s made in USA

Is this the same as beard wax?

Aside from the name? I use this in key areas of my *short* beard daily. I use Viking Revolution balm for the rest. If you have a longer beard I'm not sure the 0.5 oz will last very long, but if you (like me) have a couple of trouble areas that need a bit more taming than a balm will provide than this is great!

Does this product contain cedar wood oils?

Cedar wood oil is not listed on the ingredients. Sandalwood oil is listed.

Ok guys... there are oils, wax and balms... can anyone explain when/how to use them?

The wax is much more firm than oils or balms. I like a firm/stiff wax for my mustache because of the superior hold. I have tried a couple of different oils but only for my beard. Oils and balms on your beard help to condition your bear, eliminates static electricity buildup and most have a pleasant aroma. But never wear a good shirt if you apply oils or balm to your beard. A the oils and balms will spread to your clothes.
