I need to replace a strip that has burned out. can i use these to replace instead of buying normal ones? or would i need both to make it work

Can the channel be changed if I have two separate sets close to each other so one remote doesn't control both?

I have 2 sets with 2 different remotes, and one doesn't control the other. I have them about 4-5 feet apart.

None of the strips light up when pushing the on button. The lights do illuminate somewhat by touch areas of the strip though. Any recommendations?

you might have the polarity backwards. flip one of the pin connectors upside down and re insert it, the polarity is not labeled so you will have to trial and error it. Start with only one strip inserted at first, then plug it into the connector. Very dim or no light means you have to rotate one connector 180 degrees and plug it back in. I.E. if you were trying to charge you phone and the charger connector was upside down, it wouldn't fit, then you would have to flip it over. Same thing as these.
