I previously purchased a new Ontario Sp47, but the sheath that the knife comes with is 3 inches longer than the blade. The sheath is plain-Jane, no pouches, no fire steel loop. So I was on the hunt for a much better sheath. This CFK Sheath is really well made; Buffalo hide leather with sturdy stitching and snaps. Fits the Ontario well... just a little room side to side (understandable the sheath can accommodate a 2 1/2" knife, and the Ontario is 1 7/8" wide.) The small pouch is a great size for a Wet Fire cube and a small signaling mirror. You might even be able to place a compass alone in the pouch. The measurements for it are 1" wide x 2 1/4" long x 1 3/4" deep. One thing I recommend doing to this sheath is putting some elastic cord through the rivets on the retention strap. The elastic pulls the strap out of the way of the blade, so you don't continually cut the strap to pieces. You can't go wrong with this sheath about $35 bucks shipped!!! Impressed with the quality and stitching. Fits the BK2 knife well. Ferro rod loop good and tight. Only thing I'd like to see is the pocket to be a little bigger to receive the small Altoids tin to carry a little char cloth or fishing line and hooks or a Zippo lighter.
