ConairPRO dog & cat Boar Bristle Brush

This is my pets favorite brush. Super soft, built and performs well. Removes loose hair easily.

I like this brush - it is a stiff bristle so it doesn't collapse and do nothing but not overly stiff. I tried it on my hand and it is not scratchy. My dog seems to enjoy the brushing so I guess it feels good. She is a terrier mix and has a scruffy coat and it smooths out her hair. I like the design where it rests securely in the palm of my hand so you have more control than a brush on a handle. I don't know if there is another way to do so but I use a fine tooth comb to gently remove the hair it picks up in the bristles. Good purchase.

The most important thing about this brush is the dog likes being brushed with it. I guess the bristles are not too firm and feel good on her skin. She also likes being brushed with a Kong Zoom Groom (a rubber brush) too. This brush fits in my hand well too and it's comfortable for me to hold. It's a little hard to clean the soft short undercoat out of the bristles, but that's a minor complaint. Overall, I'm glad I got it.

My dog loves this brush. And he hates being brushed! He usually tries to run away to someone else when the brush comes out. This one he will take it out of the bag and bring it to you so you can brush his head and his ears. He still has to have a slicker brush to untangle him and pull out some undercoat but this one is good for getting the loose hairs off of him. And one of the office cats will push the dog out of the way so he can get brushed. Only complaint. This thing is tiny. I mean smaller than the palm of your hand tiny. Good for transporting but takes longer to brush and animal.

Works well for what it does. Feels good in-hand, and my cat tolerates it more than others. However, the quality leaves something to be desired. Upon arrival, there was no issue. After use, white strings were starting to show between the bristles - later realized to be glue. After trying to pull some of the glue off, bristles started coming out with it. Conclusion: bristles are held in by glue - not a substantial design choice. I understand it's not an expensive brush, however, I expected more from Conair - offshoot or not. As my cat does like this brush more than others I have tried, and it does seem to pull up his loose undercoat well, so I will keep using it until it no longer does the job. I don't plan on repurchasing, though, when it does meet its end, and plan to find a better product.

I have short hair breeds who Love to be brushed with this one. ergonomic design is so comfortable with my joint pain and stiffness and it is a perfect size for them( all under 18 pounds). It does the intended job of removing dead hair and keeping them very shiny a few times a week. Small enough to take along and fits easily into my tack box. UPDATE: I just purchased my second brush because in the middle of 4 day show- my brush went missing! I was lost without it, as were the two dogs with me. So, I can assure anyone who is unsure about getting this particular brush- if you lose it, you will be hopping on amazon at the first possible opportunity to order another. You can not go wrong with this one.

I purchased the boar bristle brush for a terrier mix. My pet has short hair and he absolutely loves brush time. This helps to bring shine to his coat, he receives soothing bush strokes all along his body and it also helps with fall out. Since the bristles are short, it is not difficult to clean out. It's ergonomic to hold as you simply slip it between you index and middle finger. It fits in the palm just perfectly. I would not recommend this for long or thick fur. For that I would recommend the metal bristle brush.

First off, this is disappointing as this brush is not 100% boar's hair. It is mixed with synthetic fibers. The brush is pretty small, even for small hands like mine. I still give it four stars as it seems gentle enough for my Shar-Pei who has allergies and very sensitive skin. Any brush with metal prongs will cut him. This isn't the best for heavy shedding season, but it is fine for everyday use and for brushing away pollen and some loose hair.

It's small -- I didn't read the dimensions. But it's also well made and the small dog I have seems to like it.

This brush doesn't get through knots or anything for thick coats but it makes our dogs coat shiny and soft so we use it last. It's really gentle so we used it with the Kong zoom groom as first brushes for our german shepherd puppy to get him used to grooming. It worked great. Using this and the dakpets brush has kept shedding under control.

Collects all the dogs short hair, not too big and the Shih Tzu tolerates it well arrived in good time

Good brush, arrived damaged. It still works but packaging should be better to avoid this.
