Review: Great, Inexpensive Earbuds that I Hope Never Go Out of Production - So I've read a few reviews that claim these (RP-HJE125E-K) have better sound quality than the RP-HJE120-K. The difference in price is about $3 for the non mic versions. I've been using Panasonic earbuds for a long, long, long time due to their seal, comfort, and price. These aren't the best earbuds ever, but for $13 bucks they absolutely "do the thing". They aren't insanely bass heavy like Beats (which suck), they've been around forever, they sound good, and they're inexpensive. I think these, or the RP-HJE120-K are the best audio deal you can find. Add a dongle : ( for newer phones and it's a no brainer. Plus, they never run out of batteries.
Review: School supply earphones, just what he needed. - I bought these for my son for school, and they held up well all year long. Good sound quality and fit well in his ear. Will purchase again!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How long do they typically last?**
A: I've had mine for several years, I use them all day long every day and they are still working like they are new. Great sound and very comfortable.

**Q: Has anyone tried foam tips with this product? Is the attachment point for the tip 5mm?**
A: You don't need foam tips with this product. The ear buds are very comfortable and different sizes come in the package.

**Q: Do these have a 90 degree bend connector like other Panasonic earbuds or is it a straight line?**
A: Bend

**Q: Can these earbuds be used with an IPhone?**
A: The newer generation iPhones replaced the standard 3.5 mm headphone port with their proprietary Lightning connector. You could get a conversion dongle but those things are awkward and the Lightning port is fragile. Rather than risk your iPhone's health I recommend you go with $20 set of wireless Bluetooth earbuds instead.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ These might be all you need.
*by J***R on August 16, 2020*

I have an older iPad that uses a 3.5 mm port for headphones. Newer iPads incorporate Apple's proprietary Lightning port, and these earbuds are not compatible with Lightning. Most of my iPad usage is reading newspapers and magazines, but also I am a YouTube fan and I watch movies from Netflix and other streaming services. So I need good sound reproduction. Not great, as you would want from a dedicated music playback system, but good. These babies deliver. Because I don't need a built-in mic or a volume control, I bought Panasonic's bare-bones product at a giveaway price. What I got was a set of earbuds that actually stay in my ears (the Apple earbuds were always falling out), and though their medium sized eartips are snug, they do not hurt, even after hours of using them. These buds do not screen out a lot of exterior sounds, something that is not an issue for me but you should be aware of. Sound quality is, as I say, good. The spoken voice, as in YouTube narrations, is clear and distinct. Music is okay, a little muddy in the high treble but I can live with that. One of the best aspects of these earbuds is rarely noted in earbud reviews but very important: They are LOUD. Most of the time my Apple earbuds required that to get sufficient volume I had to set my iPad to play at full volume. With these earbuds, full volume is usually just too loud, and that is as it should be. YouTube is notorious for the variability of playback volume of its content. Some YT vids come in fine, but with many, the playback volume level is set too low, and with my Apple earbuds I'd strain to make sense of what was being said. Not so with these Panasonics. If a YouTube video is hard to hear, I simply increase the iPad's volume level and the earbuds respond with sufficiently boosted volume that the video is worth watching. A final observation: The wiring of this earbud set is thin and fragile-appearing, and easily tangled. A minor drawback as long as it works. But on the positive side, the connecting wire to the output device is longer than usual, a great convenience when I plug them into my PC's far-away sound port. Apple has always been stingy with their wiring lengths -- whether it's a charging cable or a wired headset, they're always just a little too short. I'm happy to say Panasonic are not guilty of such corner-cutting.
